Hi girls! Just a quick update about me. All the weird pain and weird blood tinged CM continued. I tried to contact my Dr, but the staff in her office were very unsupportive, and basically made no effort to give me an appt closer than 15 days. I was kind of freaking out, so finally I called my uncle. He was kind of awesome on the phone. Told me that everything I described could be ovulation symptoms, and to wait 2 weeks. This was last wed. Maybe it's been all in my head, but I also started feeling some sickness, and all the rest continued. So last night I called him again, and we agreed that this could be a pregnancy (with false negative HPT). So I'm going this afternoon so he can see me and give orders for a beta test. I'm kind of excited about it being a pgcy. Also I'm a bit scared of this being a big ovarian cyst, an ectopic pregnancy or else... I would appreciate all your P&PT!!!!!

AFM - We started BLW last week and it's going pretty well, I think. He seems to be way more interested when we give him something we're eating as opposed to giving him veggie or fruit sticks. Does anyone else find this?

Of course, I'm getting negative comments about it already. I posted that I read the BLW book on FB, and my aunt (who's a nurse) practically pleaded with me to be careful because of choking. Sigh. I told her that babies are just as likely to choke with spoon-feeding, and with BLW they learn how to chew first then swallow. But, I'm not sure if I explained it well. For those doing BLW, any advice on what to say to similar comments?

Alyssa - GL with the BLW. As with all things baby everyone has an opinion, no matter what your choices are and everyone has advice whether you want it or not.

AFM - Theodore had his 2 month check-up today and he's 23.5" and 11 lbs. 4 oz. Dr is so happy with how he's doing and the BFing. She advised on waiting till 6+ months for starting solids since he's doing so well with the BFing and it has everything he needs. So we were really happy to hear that. He got 3 shots and an oral vacinne today, so he's spent most of the day sleeping.

Ray's still being super big brother he even watched the baby while we cleaned out the car. We got his official diagnosis last week and he has an anxiety disorder, ADHD and Asperger's and an IQ of 139. I'm worried that my family is the gene carrier for the autism link I have 1 male nephew from my brother and he has PDD-NOS... makes me wonder/worry about Theodore already.

Alyssa - I asked a similar question when my husband was freaking out about it and got some good advice. Here's the link:

We're doing a mixed-bag approach and making meal times low stress...Avery is definitely more into solids when she feeds herself. She has gagged, which makes me nervous each time, but she always works it out and is not bothered in the least. Good luck and just learn to roll your eyes for now, and when everyone is super impressed with what a good eater Evan is you can say "I told you so." :)
