We have a few land's end onesies for William and they made them with cuffed sleeves and two rows of snaps. He can still wear the 3-6 mon size because of the extenders. Unfortunately, they don't make baby clothes any longer :(

So great to hear how everyone (and their babies) are doing!

I have a question about block feeding. When I BF (which is only a couple times a day at this point, but we're getting there), I usually only feed Evan on one breast. That way, I know he's getting the hind milk. Of course, this means my other breast doesn't get emptied, and by the time the next feed comes along it's really full. Should I just leave it (hoping it will regulate itself), or should I pump it afterward even for a shorter period than I would normally?

ETA: Also, to make things more consistent, should I only pump from one side when I'm doing a pumping session (and not BFing)? That way, I would be alternating breasts, like I would if I were BFing exclusively?

Personally, I would pump because it may change where you need to feed on both breasts at some point again. I loved block feeding and then pumpinorg the other side...I always took that milk and froze it for my stash when away from the baby. I dont know what the "right" answer is but I always pumped after block feeding for that purpose and was able to get a good freezer supply going that way.

Today is David's 1st Birthday. I can't believe how fast the year has gone. It seems like yesterday I brought him home from the hospital. Yesterday was his party and we had a blast. I was a little worried as we had a lot of snow here in Indy but it wasn't too bad. We had 4 kids and 7 adults come.

Alyssa - Since you are pumping milk for Evan, I would say take advantage of the full breast and pump (even if it's not that long) from the side he doesn't nurse from to get the milk.

It's so great to hear about all the little ones. Especially those that are talking. So many cute stories.

Alyssa- I agree with what all the ladies have said. Take advantage of the full breast. You could try to pump while nursing. I only did it a couple o times. It was too hard with her while she was nursing.

Sandy-happy birthday David!!!

AFM- I had a great weekend. DH has started his
winter job so he worked Friday night. So Gabby and I hung out. She is talking up a stormits so much fun to hear her. We got about 8" of snow Friday night. Saturday DH watched Gabby for me so I could go make cookies with my friends it was an awesome time. I almost couldn't go because my stupid dog got a hold of one of gabby's diapers and ate it. Luckily she threw it up. Sundayy parents came over for lunch.

I got about 2 garbage bags full of clothes from a friend of mine. All the way up to 2T. Is 2T the same as 24 months? Gabby had a rough night on sat and sun. I thought it was because I had too much caffeine on sat because she was up every 2 hours sat night. But then last night it took us 4 tomes to get her down about 11/2 hours and I didn't have any caffeine. So I don't know. It was just not her. Hope everyone had a great weekend.
