If anyone has
I'm alone with Teddy this week so I will post pictures on the weekend:) I got a pair of wraparound sunglasses from Target but Teddy pulls them off too- he really doesn't like to have anything on his face/head- however he is willing to sometimes keep a baseball cap on so if you try the wraparound ones and Selin doesn't go for them you might just want to buy a hat with a really wide brim. We are actually going to Turkey for a little over a week for holidays at the end of April- too bad you are coming much later we could have tried for a meet up. Although Turkey is huge so the chances we would have been near each other are pretty slim but still it is a nice thought- I want to do meet ups with everyone, maybe I will do a WTTG road trip LOL :DThe bassinet size/weight limit depends on the airline- you can normally find the information on their website, otherwise just give them a call:)
Ash - I would love to see Teddy's birthday photos, too! Oh and I just read part II of the traveling post on your blog and just want to say THANK YOU!! Lots of great info on there! Some things I already do but others I never thought of. We will be flying to Turkey at the end of May with Selin (about 11-12 hours total flying time and +8 hour time difference) and I'm so nervous about how she's going to do on the plane and with jet lag. This will be her 3rd flight and I've learned so much just from the first 2 flights with her but going overseas is totally different. She usually sleeps at least some on the plane and since we'll be flying at night, I'm hopeful she'll sleep part of the flight but coming back will be really rough.
Ash - So glad Teddy's party was a success!
It is great to hear from you Suzie! I'm impressed with the personals, I never seem to have the time to do them well.
I have started the Positive Discipline book and so far am really happy with it. I LOVE that they say that time-outs are not appropriate for children under 3 as they just don't yet have the reasoning skills to understand what is going on- I really appreciate the fact that they focus on what a 1/2/3 year old is actually capable of understanding. I'm only about 50 pages in but I am definitely happy I made the purchase.
Teddy's birthday was fantastic. We were a bit worried because he was fussy when he woke up and pretty much until the party started at 3, but he ended up doing great and staying up till 7:30. He had lots of sugary cake which he took to instantly LOL and got some great gifts. I am pleased to say that the gift that my mom and I picked out for him was the clear winner of the day- EVERYONE loved it.It is a caterpillar motorized dump truck. It is kind of the most fun noisemaker ever. It really rumbles when you push a button and then rolls away. It also says stuff like LETS DIG. It is hilarious, and Teddy really liked it. We also gave him a book and he got a sand box and other more educational toys :DWhen I post the pictures to a FB album I will share the link here.
I can't believe he is one now! It is also fun to watch DH get more excited about TTC. I haven't brought it up at all since we agreed not to talk about it until June but he has been mentioning siblings and oh do you think you could be pregnant (absolutely NO chance! Thank you very much :D :D) and things like that. It is just how I knew it would be though, as soon as Teddy started getting older and more interactive it was much easier for him to picture having another.
I hope everyone had a great weekend! I am hosting my weekly mother's meet up at my house tomorrow and we are sort of celebrating Teddy's B-Day again with his baby "friends" so I can't relax just yet:)
Jess- yay for Gabby STTN and starting to enjoy solids!
