Hi ladies,

Just a quick note to please say a prayer/cross your fingers for me this afternoon. I have a screening interview with a top school district near my home and I'm soooo nervous!

I'm meeting with two principals (both male) and it's
going to be all situational-type questions for 30-45
min. They'll send me a letter in the mail letting me know if I passed (apparently they use a scoring rubric - gulp!) and then I'll be put into their "required hiring pool". I've been told only 60-70% pass the screening interview. This is just the first step in their process; I'm not interviewing for a specific position today. I feel like I'm trying out for a team sport or something, lol!

Thanks ladies! Have a great weekend everyone. :-)

Thanks Emmy! It's a huge district and they hire around 100 people every year.

The interview went well today. They ended up moving me to a different school so I only met with one person - an asst principal at a junior high school.

It's pretty informal. He asked 30 behavioral/situational questions one right after another. They want short answers so it went by pretty fast.

Hi everyone! I read everything, but don't have the energy to post personals. I'll just pick up from here on out :)

Our trip was really good! Evan did amazingly well on the plane and on the 12-hour drive. He never ceases to amaze me, since he can be pretty fussy at home. He was so good about being in different places (we stayed in a hotel and at my parents house, and then visited lots of other places). It was so good for a good portion of my family to meet him, and he just brought smiles to so many people's faces!

Anyway, someone just woke up from his nap, so duty calls!

Alyssa - Glad to hear your trip was a success! I'm sure your family loved spending time with Evan. :-)

Ok. It is probably nothing but AF is not due until next week and I have had a headache, cramping this week.

Sandy - Are these your typical pre-AF symptoms? I know I've had a few episodes over the last year where I swore I felt PG (crampy, weird stomach twinges, etc.) but I wasn't. Are you planning to test next week? GL and KUP!

Christine-yes they are typical AF symptoms. But it is over a week away so weird. Of course this morning I have no symptoms so who knows. I don't plan on testing until I am late. I got my + test with David on CD 26 however my cycles are shorter off the pill 25/26 days long and I am on the pill so they are 28 days on the dot right now. That is how I knew I needed to take a test. I had no symtoms before my positive and actually not a whole lot after either. I was one of the lucky ones with not many symptoms. The only way I knew I was late was that I know my cycles are shorter when I am not on the pill. If I hadn't known that I might not have tested for a few more days.

HI girls! I'm sorry I've been such a poor poster lately. Fede is so jealous of the computer! When I sit there to read the posts he starts whining and pulling at my pants... and by the time I start replying he is crying (screaming actually), so it makes it really hard to find the time to do personals. To those of you who asked about my nonna... Thank you!!! She did amazingly at the surgery. The Drs were really surprised!! She does show the first signs of dementia though. The two nurses that were talking care of her (in opposite shifts) came to my mom and told her very politely that they were no longer willing to work, because my nonna was getting more and more aggressive, and rebelious. So my mom and her sisters decided to put her in a nursing home. This all happened a few days ago, and my mom has been dealing with lots of guilt feelings, poor thing! I think that's getting better now, since she's been able to see how well cared she is in the home and she can go to visit her every day without dealing with the stress of actually "taking care" of her. Fede is wonderful as always, he's finally learned to say "mama"! He said so many words except that one, and I was getting worried!!! I'll post pics and videos in that thread soon. In other news, I've posted a separate thread about my thyroid issues and diagnosis dilemmas. My cycle seems to show signs of normality though, so with some luck, we will get pregnant in the near future. Oh! and big news on the house front! It seems that we qualify for a mortgage! So hopefully we will start building in a couple of months!

Also, although BLW is great and I kind of did it with Fede, it is also a little tricky. You need to be with them EVERY second! I remember once I gave Fede a slice of apple, and took the dirty dishes to the sink. When I came back he was all red and coughing, so I took him upside down, patted his back and the whole chunk of apple came out. BIGGEST SCARE OF MY LIFE... So their fears are not completely ridiculous, you know?. Just make sure that you give him very small pieces so if he chokes they won't completely obstruct his wind pipe.

Honestly james gags and turns red here and there while eating ALL THE TIME, but it's never because he is really choking.
