If anyone has
I've been reading every post from my phone but am afraid I don't have time for personals right now as I'm busy getting ready for our big trip. We leave on Thursday and won't be back till the second week of June.
Selin had her 15 mo. checkup today (and I still cannot believe she's 15 months old already - how the heck did that happen?) and everything looks great. Her ear infection is completely gone so the ped said we could stop the drops and she had her last dose of the new antibiotic tonight (let's hope she's not allergic, haha). She weighs 21lbs. 4oz (30%tile) and 30-1/2 in. long (50%tile). She's mostly in 18 mo. clothes, although some of her 12 mo. pants still fit her.
No further news on the job front. I bugged my boss again about the FT opportunity and he said they're meeting about it this Thursday, the day we fly out of town of course, and that he should have more concrete info for me then so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he'll call me after the meeting. I'm still applying to schools as well and am trying to keep up hope that I'll find a teaching position and won't have to go back to the corporate world.
I'm becoming a bit addicted to eBay lately. One of my friends told me how she gets awesome deals on clothes for her DS and she is totally right! So far I have bid and won on two pair of new shorts for Selin for $5 including shipping and a new sunhat for Selin for less than $4 with shipping. I also won a bid on what I thought was a full-size LIttle Tikes Cozy Coupe car but when I picked it up from the seller today, I realized it was doll-sized! I felt like such an idiot because the description did say "dollhouse" but I totally didn't get it. I bought it anyway because it was so cute and Selin loves it. Then we stopped by a new Salvation Army store and as soon as we walked in, there was a full-sized Little Tikes car for sale for $8! I took it as a sign, grabbed it and brought it to the register and bought it before someone else did, haha (and Selin absolutely loves pushing herself around in it). I then went back and found three pairs of pants (one of them was from The Childrens Place and still had the tags on!) for less than $4. Yes, I'm a cheapskate and proud of it! DH was jokingly saying tonight that I should start a website about how to buy things for less because I rarely pay full price for anything. I get such a thrill out of a good deal. :-P
Hope everyone is having a great week.
Hey ladies, I have been reading them all - wanted to say hello, but I don't have time for personals.
We have been crazy busy. between meeting with sub contractors and contractors for our home remodel it's been meeting after meeting. Last week we had an electrican, framer, roofer. We also had someone out to look at the house and asses it for baby proofing. my friends husband does it for a living. so lots of meetings.Friday gabby came down with a fever and had to bring her home from daycare (see my rant about sick of being sick). we had an appt with the ENT today and the Chiro and rather than write it all over again see my blog post here: http://jessica-mike.blogspot.com/2011/05/doctors.html
We are getting tubes for Gabby and I am calling tomorrow to schedule it. I am going back to our old chiropractor because after today I don't want anything to do with the latest one. Don't need to feel judged by my doctor.
DH and I are doing well, I feel like I am a roommate sometimes, just because we have so much going on. and with not getting a lot of sleep I am tired all the time I hope things change soon.
I tried to post this online on your blog and my stupid web browser isnot letting me - sorry if you for some reason end up with the same comment like 5 times, but here is what I wrote
Just wanted to pop in real quick to say goodbye as we leave for Turkey tonight. Even though I was up until 1am last night, I still have a million things to do today! I'll miss you all and will try to read from my phone when I have internet access.
Adrienne - Did you get the PM I sent you last weekend??
Ash - I know you're flying back to the States today - good luck!!
See you all in about two weeks! :-D
