HI there ladies! I thought we could use a special spot to post birth stores. Both those from the past & those still to come. Please add on anythign that you learned, or would want to do differently next time, for the benefit of those still trying to figure things out.
I wrote up my birth stories for another board a while back, so I'll copy them here. Since the first one is epic, I'll post it seperately.
My first was a surprise PG. I got prenatal care from a local clinic & loved the PA that I saw. She was very pro-natural & supportive. I was very bad about not getting enough exercise. We took a Bradley class. After the birth I felt like I wasn't as prepared as I should have been, but the class was only 6 weeks. I highly recommend taking the longer 12 week class if you can. I also should have exercised regularly.... religiously!
At 36 wks I had to start seeing the OB at the clinic. She was dreadful! She acted like everything I said was insane. I didn't have much choice. I just hoped that the midwife who also worked for the clinic would be on call when I went into labor. We did talk about

My water broke in bed around 3AM Tuesday night, after having had my membranes stripped at the OB the day before. I wasn't having any contractions to speak of, so we told the Doc we'd go in around 8AM if
