This is quite possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever read in my life. A woman on my EC posted it for us to read. Take the time, grab the Kleenex, it will blow your mind.

I was wondering about technology. Nowadays when we have all the tests done and they come back negative, we assume our babies are healthy and normal. I wonder how many times those tests miss things? (I opted out of the testing so it doesn't apply to me).

Ruby,

Thank you so much for posting the link to this. I wasn't going to read it, but after reading what you girls had to say I just had to. What an incredible birth story.

OMG, what an amazing story, and what a beautiful family! Such an emotional journey, and she describes it so so well. I couldn't stop reading. I was up last night just reading her other entries... and she's a fantastic photographer, too!

What an incredibly beautiful story. I almost wasn't going to bother reading because I just thought it was going to be one of those sappy dime-a-dozen home birth stories or something. I also wasn't going to bother with the Kleenex but wow, was I

Since I have been thinking I was PG, I had a thought. This has been a long journey for me, you know, and of course, every Mom wishes for a healthy baby--for the baby's sake! Of course you would rather your child did not have to face the difficulties that come from some kind of health problem.

But, in the days after getting my BFP, I realized--all I want is a LIVING, VIABLE Baby. OF COURSE I want it to be healthy, but at this point, I would still feel VERY blessed to have a D.S. baby, or a baby that was deaf, or blind, or . . . whatever. I just want a baby that I can watch grow up and share my life with. None of these would make those joys any less.

I think that was a turning point to me to feel that so deeply. I just want a baby. Any baby that I can watch grow up will be healthy and perfect enough for me.

Thanks for sharing Ruby. I'm still crying, LOL!

Oh my God, I am a mess and I am not a crier! Thank you so much for posting this. I've been feeling bad about Rylan's delays again and I needed to read this,

"Life moves on. And there have been lots of tears since. There will be. But, there is us. Our Family. We will embrace this beauty and make something of it. We will hold our precious gift and know that we are lucky. I feel lucky. I feel privileged. I feel there is a story so beautiful in store...and we get to live it. Wow."

I'm feeling lucky, too :).

Wow - what an amazing story. When I saw how long it was, I thought I'd be bored to tears, but when I got to the end I wanted it to go on forever.

Thank you so much for sharing.
