What are you storing your BM in?
Gerber bottles are cheap and hook up to the Medela pump, as do Dr. Browns and Evenflo. I don't generally have enough to freeze, but I pump into bottles and then pour into bags when I do. I'm too nervous that the bag would fall off and I would lose everything.Sig by Chrissy at SMFB!
I pump into the bottles that came with the pump, then I freeze them in freezer trays (I have this kind), and then I pop them out of the trays and store them in freezer bags, 24 ozs per freezer bag, laying flat.
I liked the trays because they seemed greener to me, and I like being able to decide exactly how many ozs to dethaw ...
I pumped maybe 3 times with Eloise, but with Desmond I used the Medela bags, they actually have a ziplock type closure, and worked wonderfully.
When I was pumping for the twins, I would keep it in bottles with lids in the fridge if I knew I was going to use it within 24 hours. You can even keep it out at room temp if you're going to use it within 6 hours. I got a bunch of freezer bags. I forget the brand that I liked, but I know that I really liked having the double ziplock across the top and the bottom that pops out so you can set it on a flat surface. I would pump into bottles and pour it into the bags so it was more
accurate to measure the amount in bottles and then put it in the freezer
bags to keep track of amounts. Plus, then you can freeze it in the exact amounts you need so it's easier when you thaw it. I tied a string to a sharpie and put it on our fridge door so I could label the bags w/ the date that I pumped and how much is in it (label it before you put the BM in it or it's harder to write). To thaw them, I'd run the frozen bags under hot water and pour them back into bottles, then put the bottles in the bottle warmer.
I tried the bags but didn't like them. I ended up going out and buying more Madela bottles at Babies R US. I can't remember how much they were ( I had a gift card from my registry) so I didn't really pay attention. However they were probably cheaper than at a hospital. I pumped 3X a day sometimes more once I went back to work.

As Adrienne mentioned earlier, I just HUTH last week after pumping for the last year (what a free-ing feeling!)
I have a Medela PIS and used the bottles that came with it and then poured the milk into Lansinoh bags. I ordered the bags off Amazon because it was way cheaper than buying a single box from BRU or another store. In one year, I think I only had like two bags leak. I found them to be very sturdy and
