BTDT - Birth Control after Baby

Hey ladies, my MW asked me what birth control I wanted to use after the little one was born...She mentioned I can't take the pill or the nuva ring (which is what I normally have) if I want to breast feed. She said I could use Depo or condoms...so I am just curious what others have done.

TIA

I used the mini pill for the last months since Fede's birth. However, I finished my last pack a few weeks ago and decided to end it there. At least four or five times a month I missed the right time and so we had to use condoms anyways, so I figured since it was working that way I could very well get rid of the fake hormones.

I've been on the minipill since 7 weeks PP and have had no adverse side effects, although I've never had problems with BCPs. Like Sandy, I also set an alarm on my cell phone so I will remember every day.

My MW advised against Depo and the ring because she said it could take longer for my fertility to return.

I would've gone back to using FAM (used it for 5 cycles before TTC and loved it!) but we hate condoms and can't afford an oops right now so I'm on the minipill for the time being. I'm hoping to go off it by the end of the year. I loved FAM and also I have to pay out of pocket for my BCPs because my employer doesn't cover them.
