Mari- wow, robbed again?! That's awful, I'm sorry!! Ah, labs are such great dogs though- even if they don't make the best guard dogs. :)

Christine- glad you have a plan to fight the MRSA. Has DH been on board so far?

Ella- THAT is hilarious!! Twiddling, ohohoh... that's the funny thing about BFing once your kid can talk I guess. ;)

Sandy- sounds like you're all on the mend! What a way to start the new year. Has David always been sensitive to onions?

Suzie- yay for an exciting move!! And yes, it's crazy-amazing how fast they grow up!!

AFM- we had a great new year and this week I started back at work 4 days a week. They're short days but even so, it's exhausting. The girls have, to the dismay of ME discovered the concept of boredom and require a lot of change of scenery, toys, and peek-a-boo to stay happy. Plus Jules constantly wants to stand up and she rolled over (!) so now she wants to practice all the time. Elia started saying dada and DH is trying to claim first word. Whatevah! *eye roll* Busy, but all good over here!!

Well, our dog is just a very sweet & dumb labrador... We always joke(ed) that if someone tried to break in the house he would just go and greet them wiggling his tail! As for this time, he wasn't visibly hurt, but they must have done something, because he looked really nervous and scared for a couple of days afterwards. Most people here have more menacing breeds here just for that reason (rottweiler, bullterrier, pitbull, etc...), but I don't feel comfortable having those breeds around children. It's not that I think them worse/more agressive, just that they hay such strong jaws... As DH says "if a poodle bites you, it's annoying. If a rott bites you, you may loose a limb or worse". As for our things... I sincerely doubt they will ever find them. Cops just have their hands full and have very limited resources. It's just the kind of thing that marks the difference between living in the "first world" and living in Latin America... (sigh!)

Mari, how awful! I'm so sorry that happened to you again. :( being robbed is a horribly vulnerable feeling. I'm glad DH and Fede made you feel somewhat better. Toddlers are so sweet when they sense we mamas are upset.

As for the nursing antics... I don't really put up with much, I'm sort of a hard a$$ with Eliza about it, lol! I tell her if she hurts me we will be done nursing. She's so in love with "her milkies" that she'd do pretty much anything for them not to be taken away! So yeah... I'd be happy being done anytime now, but I don't think she and I are on the same page ;)

Mari,

I am so sorry to hear you got robbed again!! I can't believe with a dog and an alarm system that they would be dumb enough to try to rob you again! Btw, what did your dog do while they were in the house?

Hope you were able to rest over the holiday and keep those BH contrax away. Don't forget to keep hydrated too. (((HUGS)))

Andi, Suzie adn the rest- You are too sweet for saying I "handled" the Dr. pretty well… I'm not really sure… I just kept thinking about the paycheck and swallowed my tongue!!! LOL!!!!
Christine- I'm so glad that the ID pedi had some hope for you. To know that you CAN get rid of MRSA must be a relief for you!! Just keep a tight rein on DH! And although it must be hard to delay TTC, I'm sure it will be worth to know that you are keeping the future newborn safe from it!
Katie- I'm sorry that your family wasn't really there for you on Christmas… how was New Year? Is it something you can talk with them?
Erica- I'm sorry about the scare you had with Charlotte… What can I say… a baby with a high fever is always scary!!! I'm so glad she is better now!
Ash- We spent New Year with DH's side. It was pretty nice, (except for the overwhelming heat!) How was you NY??
Ella- That was funny!! I have to say I admire your perseverance though… when Fede started doing those things, I think that was the last straw to finally make me wean him!
Suzie- You sound so excited about moving to South Carolina… I'm really happy for you!!
Sandy- Glad that

Happy new year everyone. David is fine, must have been what he ate. The dinner I made hada bunch of onions, must have been too much. All he wanted to do was eat after he just had toast this morning. dh and I had a glass of champagne and he is already asleep. One of these days we willgo out when we have enough $ to go out and a sitter. Sucks about not having family in town. We went out every yr until david was born.

Ella - OMG That's hilarious. I laughed out loud at that. I love hearing your nursing stories. Gabby is getting a bit more vocal too with the nursing

Ella - omg, that is HILARIOUS about Eliza and the twiddling overheard on the monitor!! You have the best nursing stories. :-)

Sandy - Hope David continues to get better. Hopefully you'll all be super healthy in 2012!

Hope everyone has a safe NYE. I'm really bummed we aren't really doing anything. All of our friends have other plans with their families and my ILs didn't want to do dinner this year but told us to come for tea instead. So we're eating an early dinner then heading over. Tomorrow were going to my parents for an early dinner. Not that I want to go clubbing but it would be fun to get together with some other families and have a little party. My DH is an old fart and doesn't even stay up to watch the ball drop. :-( Oh well.

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!
