Ella... We transitioned Fede to a regular bed (w/safety rail) when he was around 13 months. It was out of necessity, because the crib he had belonged to a cousin who suddenly needed it. He was co-sleeping anyways, and he always hated that crib, also I still nursed him to sleep back then, so it really wasn't a big deal.

As for him coming ot our bed in the middle of the night.... SIGH! We are still working on that....
He falls asleep without issues in his bed and usually sleeps there like a log for about 3 hours. But then he starts to fuss... I go there, comfort him, rub his back, and he falls asleep again, but the cycle will repeat itself every 40 minutes or so, so by the 3rd or fourth time I'm so tired I bring him back to my bed.... I really don't like that solution, because since Fede is big and moves so much, DH usually leaves and goes over to Fede's bed for the rest of the night... And I really don't like the idea of my son "kicking dad out of mom's side". It may be silly, but I don't like it, but I'm just so tired these days that getting some sleep is more important.
I've been thinking about different strategies to help him stay in his bed when he wakes up... If you have any, please share!!!!!

I do not have much advice for you. We never let David in our bed unless he is sick or thunderstorms. Maybe go with him and sleep in his room and then leave when he is asleep. I do not have any other advice maybe others will.

Andi--I think I've heard other Moms of (esp fraternal) twins talk about how it's just so hard not to expect them to be doing the exact same thing at the same time.

Lora- Sorry about the BFN.. I hope next cycle is the lucky one!
Grace- I can’t believe the move is so close!! How are you feeling about it all?
Adrienne- Such acute story about James’ doing signs!! It is so amazing when you realize they understand way more than you thought!

I just made the first try...

When I put him to bed tonight, I told him that he shouldn't be afraid, that mom and dad were right next door, and that if there was anything wrong, we would come and make it right. The we said our prayers and he fell asleep like... instantly!!
