Hey ladies -SOrry I have been MIA, I got behind right in the beginning of the month and it's just gotten worse. I finally got caught up in all the reading :) So here are a few personals that I can remember...

Ella - GL on transitioning Eliza to the big girl bed...Mike and I keep wondering what to do about that, but I don't think she is ready, plus with all the construction we aren't ready. So it probably won't be until awhile and if we get preggo soon here we will just buy another crib that can convert to a toddler bed and leave Gabby in hers.

Andi - GL on the sleep training, I found for us that it helped to just cut out feedings here and there, but we did it a LOT later than you, so anyway good luck, i know we had a few rough nights but then it was better.

Sandy - I also can't believe that David is 2, seriously where did this time go??? these kids are getting too big too fast.

Ash - Those advent calendars are cute! I might have to do one for Gabby next year.

Suzie - I hope your DH gets the promotion! And you guys can find a place to settle down.

Waving hi to everyone else!!
AFM - Gabby is growing like a weed. She is in 24 month shirts (she turns 16 months on Saturday) but is still in 12 month pants. The girl takes after her mama and daddy, with short arms, and a long torso and short legs :) DH, his brother and dad (who are all an inch apart in height) all have the same inseam and DH is the tallest at 6'3. She so had DH's body type, with no but. so clothes are a challenge for us now. I am having to dig out her 24 month shirts already....I thought I would at least have until February. We bought a bunch of spring stuff for 24 month so hopefully that still fits her when it comes time.

TTC - is going well. I am on either DPO 16 or DPO 13 depending on when I O"d. FF is saying that I O'd later on D19, but I think it was more like D15. I have taken three or four tests the past few days and they have all been negative, so I am thinking that maybe FF is right. Luckily we had good timing with both. I haven't been feeling well and been a little run down, but I don't know if that;'s just because we have had a busy week and last weekend or if it's AF or if it's that I am preggo. so I am waiting until Saturday and then testing. So keep your fingers crossed for me. If I am preggo I would have another august baby :)

Our remodel is going wonderful (see the link below for the latest pictures). I know some of you have seen it on FB. They have started inside so the upstairs is a bit precarious, as the stairs can't be blocked off and the only thing keeping the dog and the baby from going into the hazardous construction zone with holes in the floor and instulation is one little board. Luckily she and the dog have been good and haven't tried to go there, so that's nice. The framing is almost done and then the furnance, plumbing and electrical guys will come in soon. I just hope they can get that all done before too much snow comes and so the roofers can get the new roof on. It's crazy all the work that is happeneing.

Sorry this turned into a novel, if you made it this far, thanks for listening!

Sorry I have not been on here this week. It's been a hell of a week. It all started Dh got sick this weekend which I thought was a cold but then he got a fever, chills and body aches. We all had flu shots and I was like well sometimes they don't get the right strain. So then I told him to go to the dr on Monday but he didn't listen so yesterday he finally went. he has a bad case of bronchitis and he's still really sick. I just hope he doesn't end up in the hospital. If he isn't better by Friday I think he should go back to the doctor.

So then I don't know if I told you all but when we went for David's 2 yr visit she said his ears were red and to watch out for an ear infection if it got worse.

Sandy- sorry you're having a rough week! I hope DH gets well soon and David's ear infections stop.

Jess- GL with POAS!! how exciting! And thanks for the luck on sleep training. I think we might postpone because J has been waking with clear teething pain lately and I'm not gonna NOT console her. I feel about 5 teeth close to the surface. Yikes! Hurry up teeth!

Adrienne- I'm way late in chiming in, but yowza on your in-law drama. Yep... I think "yowza" just about covers it. :(

Katie- that's a bummer your neighbor/babysitter moved. Gotta find another one, girl!- momma deserves a night out! ;)

AFM- just an update on the solids thing. The girls have figured out there ARE things edible other than their milkies and their hands! I'm doing a BLW/puree combo. The only way they'll open their mouth (for anything these days, including their bottle) is if they are in control. So I hand them a loaded spoon of rice cereal or avocado or banana and they shovel it in. After a few days they even wanted to load the spoon themselves (though I help with that part). It's a delightful mess but they're eating quite a fair amount and I think they'll take to table food play/eating pretty soon. :)

Sandy, Are his ears red all the time? Simon will get one ear that turns red for a while then goes away. I never thought about it being an infection.

Andi, how cute! I miss my little man being little. I'm so ready to TTC again.. I just wish May would get here and a job for my husband!

Hi gals! It has been a crazy week at work! I took 5 dogs in today and only sent one home. I have two that I know have homes but apparently they are not high enough on the priorities list. Which is really starting to annoy the crap out of me. I have so many dogs right now I had to start making additional holding areas! I have an adoption even tomorrow so lets all hope and pray that many many animals go away with new good homes. Otherwise Friday is going to be a crappy day!

Cassie- I dont' think his ears are red all the time. It's the inside not outside so I can't really tell. i wish I could have seen inside his ears to tell if he had gotten an infection. But as I said, it's not really effecting him. And he's great at taking medicine thank goodness. DH is still about the same but his fever was a little lower this morning than in past days so that's a good thing. I think he might have been better by now if he would have listened to me and went to the dr on Monday instead of Tus but men don't listen do they? She said it could take a few days for the fever to go away and the meds to kick in. Just want to make sure he doens't have pnumonia since I know bronchitis can develop into that. If he doesn't get any better today I may call the dr back.

Despite this today I have to get the Christmas shopping finished and gifts sent since we aren't going home for Christmas I need to send the family's gifts. I only have to ship two since dad is coming here at some point and then my aunt's I ordered on Amazon and my brother I just sent him a gift card. So I only have to ship my mom's and uncle's. I also want to get a few more stocking stuffers for David. So far I have crayons and hotwheels. I need to figure out a few other things.

Carly, I think it was the previous month, but we had a discussion about our kids and their language skills... Fede is also kind of behind on that, but everyone keeps saying that boys are slower on the speech thing. Also, at least in Fede's case, I think he is not talking more because he can manage to express himself very clearly with sounds and signs... he clearly doesn't see the point of doing anything more complicated! All this to say that although it won't hurt to take him to the speech therapist, you are not a bad mom for letting some time go! AND... i saw a comment on the "baby sitter" thread, and didn't want to "thread-jack"... but could you please tell me something about your upcoming wedding??? I love weddings!!!

Little update: DH is pretty sick. He's still got a fever and coughing pretty bad. Just went to the doctor. Hoping it's nothing serious. Maybe he needs a stronger antibiotic. She said he had bronchitis but maybe it could be pneunomia. He's pretty healthy so hopefully whatever it is he'll recover.
