As you approached your due date, did you get a haircut, maybe a little waxing done?

I got a hair cut the week before my due date. I was planning to shave my legs and get a pedicure the week of my due date but didn't have time because I ended up going into labor the morning after my due date.

I wish I would have thought to bring some makeup for pictures because I look like CRAP in our photos. It was nearly 11:30pm when Selin was born so I was just plain tired and my eyes are so squinty in all the photos. Lol

LOL! Well, I wanted to but Fede came 2 weeks early! But, as soon as my water broke, I got in the shower and shaved my legs and did some "ladyscaping" around the area... That earned me some mild scolding from the m/w nurse, because Fede was head down, but not engaged and all that moving around could have ended in a prolapsed cord and seriously complicate all my vaginal birth plans... go figure!!!!!!!! As far as pictures... Fede was born at 10:00pm, and all the pictures are from him. I didn't let them take pictures of me until the next morning!!! :)

On my birthday, I had a spa facial that included a massage of my shoulders and a spa pedicure....so around 3 hours of spa time. I dont know if its connected or not, but my water broke the next day in the morning. He was 2 weeks early. As for pics and despite my very long labor and stay at the hospital, that first picture of me with him is my absolute favorite. I dont look like a truck ran me over anyway :)

I didn't do anything before but after pushing out a 10 pound baby for 2 hours I looked like death (happy death) but death so I was glad I brought make up and a cute nightgown for the pics we took a few hours after the birth.

This time I will do the same thing :)

I had a prenatal massage but that was nothing that primped me. I surprisingly look pretty good in the photos but I was not in labor very long. I think maybe 4 hrs at the most and I never felt one contraction. I just got severe leg pain and they gave me meds for it then the epidural later on.

I always made sure my legs were shaved, I had a mani/pedi done not too long before and I did my make-up during labor!

Nope. I got my hair cut just before I found out I was prego. I didn't do anything in preparation. I have never been one to worry about the looks. I guess I felt like I had more important things to concentrate on.

Heck ya I did! I begged the nurse to let me take a shower, which they didn't want to do because I was on mag sulfate. When they bumped my c-section for another person's emergency and we knew I had another 2 hours to go though, they let me. So I was freshly showered, put fresh make-up on... ahhh, it actually made me feel 1000 % better, and the pictures looked better too. ;)

Oh, and in the week before the c-section, while I was in the hospital, I had a friend paint my toenails for me. I really didn't want to be on the c-section table with janky toes. It's stupid I know, but I REALLY wanted that pedicure, lol.
