Hey Ash! Ah yes, the life of a student mommy! We're learning as we go and trying to make it work. This semester (which is thankfully almost over), I am taking two classes as a student and TA'ing one course. So far, taking Eliza to class has worked out great, but I couldn't do it without the help of my mom. She comes with us to campus. Basically, I sit in the back or to the side of class and I nurse Eliza at the beginning of class. Then, she usually falls asleep in my arms and we hang out like that for a while, provided there is lecture or discussion going on and I am able to stay seated. Oh - and my classes are three hours long, so we're there for a while! Then at some point I take Eliza out to my mom, who usually just sits outside of the classroom waiting for us (she brings her knitting to keep her occupied!). Then Eliza and Grandma hang out - mom walks her around the building, or just lets her sleep if she is sleeping already. If she ever gets fussy to the point that mom thinks she can't soothe her, she texts me or just knocks on the door (we have a very informal department and profs are okay with this) and I leave to nurse her or I bring her back in with me (depending on Eliza's state of fussiness!). So far, it's been going great. The tricky part has been getting my grading done for the course I TA. I still have 100+ student papers to grade by the end of the semester... and I have little time (or want!) to grade these days.... the being in class part hasn't been so difficult... and people love having a baby in class! :) I know that if she were much older, this might not work out, but since she's so tiny and sleeps a lot still, it works.

Hope that helps! If you have any more specific questions that I didn't address, let me know! I think you could definitely make it work with Logan next semester, he will be tiny and new and very portable! I have decided to take next semester off school to focus on being Eliza's mommy - and I knew that it would be increasingly difficult to take her to school with me as she grows into a more active infant. I'll go back in the fall when she's about 9 months old and my dad and mom will do daycare for us. At that point, she'll be on solids and it will be a lot easier to leave her (well, easier in SOME ways, harder in others, I'm sure!).

GL with the rest of you pregnancy! I miss talking to all you lovely ladies, can't wait 'til you join the WTTG Baby section!!!
