Come out, come out wherever you are! Check in and let us know how you're doing!

Name/SO Name or PS: Liz and Sean

Little one(s) name and ages: Peter Amias, 17 months

How did you choose your iV screenname? My maiden name and initials. It was the email address my dad set up for me in elem. school, so it just stuck.

Valentine's Day - Romantic or over-rated? We started dating in February and got married in February, so we tend to focus on those dates.

What are you looking forward to this month? Hopefully my kitchen will get finished (but I've been saying that since November, so I'm not holding my breath...)

I'm just doing personals from this thread, because I'll get confused otherwise. I will say that Sean and I are both darkly colored, though I do have pale skin. Peter took after my dad and has bleached blonde hair, blue eyes, and is ghostly. Genes are interesting.

Katie--I hate that Z's "dad" has to be so crazy. And I saw the pics of your nephew; I think he and Z favor each other a little.

Ash--Peter's been outside naked too. Sun isn't bad unless you bake in it. I'm careful because of the family history of skin cancer, but I'm not going to be over-the-top with it.

Mari--Now I want to know the story behind your screen name! I can't wait to see your baby girl!

Sandy--You're all in my prayers.

Jules--Not lame at all to not use your kids names. How long have you been remodeling your house?

AFM--Peter is talking up a storm! He's now calling Sean "Daddy" instead of dada, which is cute, but makes me miss the baby babble. He cracks me up with the stuff he comes up with. The cat is capable of cleaning himself, we don't need to lick him. ;)

Anyway, we're loosely TTC, and Sean can't understand why it hasn't just happened. We've BDed three times all month. Uh, pay me some attention! LOL

Name/SO Name or PS: Alyssa/Kyle

Little one(s) name and ages: Evan, 15 months

How did you choose your iV screenname? It's a name of a constellation, and I've used it forever for emails and login names on various sites.

Valentine's Day - Romantic or over-rated? Over-rated, but I still like us to do little things for each other :)

What are you looking forward to this month? SuperBowl this weekend, Family Day (day off) on the 20th, and DH's birthday is at the end of the month.

I’m going to do some personals while the thread isn’t too insane!

Christine – I can’t believe Selin is going to be 2 soon! Good luck choosing your research topic.

Name/SO Name or PS: Ella (30), Andy (32)

Little one(s) name and ages: Eliza (2 years + 3 months)

How did you choose your iV screenname? My nickname when I was little was "Ella Berry", and I was born in 1981.

Valentine's Day - Romantic or over-rated? Meh, I guess it's overrated, but that doesn't mean we can't use it as an excuse to go out on a date!

What are you looking forward to this month? Continuing to make progress on my research paper/prelim for my phd program, going to Seattle to visit family at the end of the month.

Personals:

Ella - I don't know how long you have had that signature, but adorable!!

Liz - (I think it was you) that was talking about Peter licking the cat...Gabby is obsessed with our dog currently. I LOVE It. Mac (our dog) not so much! She has to help feed her (she puts the food in the bowl, puts the cup back in the bucket, taps mac on the head to release her). She has to put her in and take her out of her kennel, sometimes multiple times in a row. She also has started saying things like "Ma NO!" or Ma Out! I guess I yell at the dog too much. Her latest cuteness is she takes the spray bottle we use to keep Mac out of the kitchen and pretends to spray her and even makes the noise "Shhhh" as she is doing it. And the last thing she did last night, was imitating Mac. I was showing her how Mac rolls over (because she was wailing and dinner wasn't ready yet) and she got down on the floor - off my lap and rolls over and over and over again. It was so cute!! I just love it.

Mari - I must have missed the post where you actually said you were having a Girl!! THats awesome.

Sandy - I hope your DH doesn't lose his job

Alyssa - I hope you can either stay at your current place or find a new place. Are you going to get on some waiting lists. I feel your pain having just gone through a switch. Especially when you don't want to! A place in a city near us just closed down and I was reading their violations, I had it easy and nice compared to this place. I feel awful for all the parents/kids at this place that felt that was all they could afford. so sad!

Grace - I hope your transition in Germany is going well!

Waving hi to everyone else. Sorry I missed people

AFM - I am still having major major back pain. I mean I guess it could be worse, it's tolerable most of the time.I went to the chiropractor this morning and it always helps for about 20 minutes to a 1/2 hour and then it gets back to normal. I have an appointment with my MW on Monday so I am sort of hoping that maybe she can give me a referral to Physical Therapy or something. Because I can't keep living like this. My chiropractor said that after carrying a baby the muscles in your back (Between your shoulder blades) can get weak and you need to strengthen them again - so I am working on that as well. Going to try some yoga tonight to work the muscles through and try to convince DH to give me yet another backrub.

Gabby finished her first week at her new place and totally loves it. (Sorry if this is repeat) She has been a little clingy when we drop her off but totally loves the place. SHe is eating way more there than she did at the other place! and totally loving her teachers.

Our furnace is working on being installed! I am so excited about it. FINALLY! We are having to work through with the contractor company though because they had told us (even put it in the bid) that we would be able to have it in by the end of the year (2011) and therefor could get the $500 tax credit from the government. Well it wasn't installed on time and so we are losing out on that money. so I want to talk with them and see if they will give it to us off the bill or something. we will see. We are meeting with them tonight to discuss our stairs and the railing and the placement of it.

Have a great weekend everyone!!
