Re: the sunburn/sunscreen thing - the "pink" on the girls noses and cheeks was gone by this morning. I pulled their sunhats out and will let the nanny know. I agree that as a society we actually overdo the sunscreen. Sunshine is good for you, but definitely in moderation. If it's blazing hot out, I'm not putting my kid in long sleeves! (I will make them wear a silly looking floppy hat though, lol)

Katie - sorry about the February blues :(

Jess--Yeah, Peter loves the animals. Earlier in the week he rolled in the driveway while the dog rolled on a dead mouse (thanks, cats). He got mad at her this morning because she didn't want to wake up and eat a treat - at 6:30am. He and one of the cats fight over my lap every night, and he likes to tickle the cat's paws. They still won't drink out of his sippy, though Oh, and he yells "Back!" at the dog when she jumps. She listens to him.

Andi--I posted in the TTC thread, but the other night, we were getting things started in the recliner and were going to move to the bedroom. He yelled "Get up! It's breaking!" Yeah, the recliner broke (worst fat joke ever, right?). So he STOPPED what we were doing to screw the chair back together. What kind of man does that???

Emmy, I'm so sorry about the biting. I know what the multi teething is like though. Simon liked to teeth in 4 and 6's. Its so amazing how they go from nothing to all over! I hope you are enjoying the weather and all the fun things to do!

Aren't fractions fun Emmy? Seriously though they are so close to the next age putting 1/2 seems to short change them.

As for teething I am hating teething right now too. Sully is working on his last two canines (teeth 11 and 12!) and you can tell they are bothering him a bit. Fortunately it will be over soon and he'll only have 4 more teeth to go before a break and his 2 year molars.

Andi, my kids don't burn. It is apparently their Indian heritage. I put sunscreen on them if we go swimming, but otherwise I don't worry about it, they have never burnt or even gotten red, if they had I would start using sunscreen. I do try to avoid the sun in the middle of the day in the summer though just to be safe. Oh and I love the picture.

Hi everyone else

As for us: Eloise has her first ear infection. She was screaming Wednesday evening for 2 1/2 hours. I took her in and the doctor said she had an ear infection, he also said she looked like she was getting that nasty stomach bug that is going around, but since it hasn't appeared yet, it looks like it was just her ear. So she is on antibiotics for the first time.

Sully just took 3 solo steps, and he would have taken more, but there was a toy blocking his path. I am thinking he maybe walking by the time we get home from Atlanta!

Desmond is Desmond, they really don't have huge milestone leaps at almost 5 anymore. He is still working on reading, he is slowly getting there.

Thank you for the sig Mary

Sarah- You are really lucky if she just got her first ear infection. I know you haven't been around recently but we just got David in the all clear this week from an ear infection from mid December. he was on 3 rounds of meds. He's had 3 others before then. I just hope they don't want to do tubes as my brother had those he just kept getting them. But we'll see how things go.
