Sandy- I hope everything works out with your DH's job and congratulations on PTing David!

AFM: I booked a trip to visit my mom from the 8th to 30th of June with Teddy and I hope I wasn't crazy for booking it. I'll be 32 weeks when we come back at the end of June so still well within safe flying limits and all of that, and Teddy will be over 2 and have his own seat. But I know I will be huge and I just hope I can deal with all the stress of 16 hours in the air and in airports during connections. Either way it is booked now so no getting out of it, but at least I can pick up my new Britax B ready stroller in person LOL.

That's the stroller i have Ash! It's great, I really like, and for what it is, you can't beat the price. I hope you'll have a great trip, and the flight+giant belly doesn't kill you! I think it's a good choice though, that baby will be much easier to deal with on a plane while it's still in your belly! Dylan and I really felt like the flight over here would have been a total breeze if we had only had James. By 2, they're just so much easier to distract and entertain in that sort of a situation.

Name/SO Name or PS: Grace, DH- Dylan

Little one(s) name and ages: James, 2.5 and David 13 mos

How did you choose your iV screenname? I'm pretty much always called Grace, but my mom used to call me Gracie Lou when she was teasing me...

Valentine's Day - Romantic or over-rated? Over rated. I don't think DH and I have ever really had a valentines day that lived up to my expectations (ie. I always hope for a dinner out or flowers or something, and he typically works late that day, or picks a fight with me), so I have just given up having expectations at all.

What are you looking forward to this month? Acclimating. I'm hoping to make some friends and find some things to do with my time, get more comfortable with my surroundings etc.

AFM- We moved here to Germany last week. For some reason in my mind, the hardest part about the move was the flight, and I thought once that was over it would be all sunshine and roses. Honestly the flight was the easiest thing so far. Starting as soon as we left the airport in Munich, things have been difficult and frustrating. The weather is bitter cold, and we have no car. We were assigned an apartment in the village instead of in the city, so nothing is very close, and we're having to walk all over the place in freezing cold weather to get anything done. Our apartment is pretty much terrible, and jet lag has been awful. ~end of rant~ Aside from all that, things are great! Dylan likes his new job, coworkers, and boss, the boys are growing, and learning. David still doesn't really talk, or sign, but he's getting smarter and cuter by the day. James is getting really good at pretend play, which is adorable to watch! I'm looking forward to hopefully meeting more people, the weather warming up a little, and starting to feel a little more at home here.

Grace- It must be so hard to move to a foreign country. I can't imagine. I know when I went to France just to visit for 2 weeks I felt lost. I hope your transition goes smoothly and you get to know some people. Do you know any German or are you going to have to totally learn the new language? I know once I was exposed to the language I came home pretty fluent in French. Of course now I have totally lost it and I can't speak a word.

Ash- Thanks for the good luck with DH's job. It seems his boss was pretty stressed out over the super bowl last week and he just blew up. However, I think DH is ready to move on anyway one becuase he knows he's not going to make any more money and two I think he's ready for a change. Also his boss has said that they need to get the website numbers up and he's afraid he could get fired a few months down the road. So he has started applying for other jobs. But for now I guess things are OK.

Well, I am heading to the doctor at 11. I was playing xbox kinect with David. He loves to play. I was doing skiing and I jumped for a hill and I landed funny on my foot and heard a pop. It wasn't that bad at first but this morning it has started to swell and I can't walk on it at all. I thought we were done with doctor visits for awhile. I guess better me than David though. I was supposed to take him swimming at the indoor pool on Thursday but I think I'm going to wait a few weeks to go as I have a feeling it may take a little while for me to heal.

Grace- Yay, I'm glad you like the stroller. The only bad thing I have heard is that the wheels can squeak, but that Britax is really good about replacing the stroller then. Plus I got such a good deal and I love that I can use it as a single.

I'm glad you said that about the flight- another reason for me to get another flight in before the new baby comes. An acquaintance of mine did a long haul trip from Canada to Germany alone with her 8 month and 2 1/2 year old-I couldn't believe she survived LOL.

Spring will be here before you know it- and you are in the area that gets a real spring and summer so you have warm sunny days to look forward to. Things will seem so much better when the weather isn't so depressing. Right now no one wants to be out! The other stuff will come in time- just know it is super normal and that even though the transition takes time in a few months you will look back and feel completely different and much more at home and not even really remember feeling as out of it and down as you are feeling right now. Think of it like the shock of the first baby :) :) Plus since you guys are here for 2 years will you have the chance to make some great friendships and see some really neat sites. It will be worth it, I promise!

Sandy - sorry about your wii accident! Hopefully it's nothing serious!

Grace - I'm sure the adjustment must be so hard. That cold weather can't help! Ash makes some good points though, so hopefully things will get better with time! All the best of luck!!

AFM - we're all sick. Elia had

That is awesome that your DH will be home on Monday Christine.

My DH just left for 10 days. I am so dreading the 2 weekends! The week will fly by, we have a lot going on as usual, but the weekends are for father/son time and Teddy is so obsessed with DH lately, I am not looking forward to having to convince him that he won't be walking in the door any second. He has been really sweet and easy these past weeks so of course today he was just awful. Crying and fussing the whole day-I had forgotten how annoying that could be!!! Hopefully he goes back to normal tomorrow and sleeps in till 8 for me. He has done it a few times in the past weeks and it has been like heaven!

I'm trying very hard not to spend too much when DH is away. I tend to get really lazy about cooking, and the pregnancy cravings are NOT helping one bit. I just made an order from Amazon for some import American food products which I definitely didn't need but couldn't resist. Now I am just trying to tell myself to not order a pizza and instead make myself something for dinner. So far though my motivation is SO low. Honestly it is terrible. I also am still so low on energy I just hope that bounces back in the 2nd trimester!!

I'm also in the dreaded just looks thick stage of pregnancy. A friend who didn't know said she was going to ask, but then was worried that maybe I just gained a few pounds. Ugh I hate this stage. I've pulled out the maternity jeans though as at least those are cute without pushing.

Ash,

Just out of curiosity, what American foods did you order? :-)

I too have been trying not to eat out a lot while DH is gone. Yesterday was my birthday so I've been using some of the free birthday meal coupons I've received, for birthday clubs and such. Last night Selin and I went out for Indian and I still had leftovers for two more meals.
