Katie... I can sympathize with the teeth. David is getting his 2 yr molars and yet to sleep through the might this week. He shows up at our bed and wants to cuddle with me but I am not starting that habit. So he gets mad at me, I give him Motrin and he usually falls asleep after that. I hope that tooth comes in soon for both of us.

Katie, it's so good to hear that you are enjoying the new "date" in your life. And he's a handyman, too! ;)

Are you on the boards there Erica? I'm tabrizia over there, though I don't post often. I have been on the boards for like 8 or 9 years now (through the old board change to the new ones). There is a lot of great info on their website for all sorts of home schooling styles too which is nice, since I think we're doing a classical/unit study/uncschooling hybrid at least at the beginning.

Katie: Glad you had a good date, and it is great that he is coming to help with the baby gates, they can be a pain to put together.

I can also sympathize about the teeth.

As for us: Not much going on, I have scheduled Eloise's birthday party for her birthday, at Build a Bear now I just have to book it, looks like everyone in her preschool class can make it.

hi everyone else.

Our biggest news Sully slept from 10pm last night till 6am this morning without waking up! Of course I woke like twice, but he didn't, hoping he does it again, but I am not holding my breath.

We are using Explode the Code as well. We're doing a weird combo of Singapore Math, Math Mammoth and The Life of Fred (A and B books) for Math, at least that is the plan so far.

I'm waiting on starting the history cycle till he is in first grade since Eloise will be 4 then and I think she will get more out of it as well as Desmond then. So we are doing a weird what ever I put together history for our first year focusing on his interests, so lots of Dinosaurs and Knights.

Thank you for the sig Mary

Kate- Happy Birthday to Theodore!

Emmy- I do that sometimes and it drives me crazy, normally I just don't end up posting at all.

Erica- The homeschooling being illegal here mainly has to do with Germany's past and not wanting children to be taught something which goes against society's current ideals and what is considered acceptable (e.g. any sort of fanaticism or trying to reinvent history) it also is supposed to help with integration. In much of Europe homeschooling is illegal or barely tolerated. I'm guessing it is probably most popular in countries such as the U.S. of course, the U.K., Australia, etc. which tend to have a similar consensus when it comes to these types of issues:)

Katie- Zaydren sounds so cute and it is nice to hear you talking about your date:)

Jessica- Congratulations on the raise and the great review!

Suzie- I'm glad things are slowly coming together in the new house, I hope your old one sells soon!

Christine- Sorry your DH isn't being more of a help with the party planning.

Sarah- Congrats on Sully sleeping through the night (even if it was just once) and enjoy the rest of this low-key month before everything gets hectic with birthdays!

I'm sorry if I forgot anyone on personals!

AFM- I was in a bit of a funk on the weekend and slowly am feeling better. I'm normally a quite happy relaxed person so I really dislike when I don't feel "up". I'm wondering if it has to do with pregnancy hormones stabilizing or going up/down or if it was just a blah week. Either way I am feeling better now and happy about that. I'm also going out for dinner with a friend tomorrow which should be fun. I have to say though 2 of my friends are driving me a bit crazy. There are 4 of us who live within walking distance of each other, have kids at a similar age, etc. We try to get together a few times a month and 3 of us do things like baby gym together. Anyway we communicate a lot through FB or messaging and 2 are terrible at responding to things. Like I planned this dinner and at first everyone was saying great idea, lets do it, but then as soon as it came to making a commitment to a day/time and a restaurant 2 of them just got silent. I talked to the one personally and we decided to just go together, and I let the other 2 know per message that if they didn't say anything I would just book a table for 2, and one did finally say it didn't work (7 days after the initial messaging and 2 days after I booked the table) but one still hasn't replied. I just find it SO rude. Honestly we all have stuff going on, if you don't think it will work then you write a one sentence 10 second reply saying so.

Sorry for that rant but this type of behavior happens often from these two and I find it really obnoxious, but not obnoxious enough to actually say something to them about it. So you all had to hear it.

Now that I am finally feeling better and almost out of the 1st trimester I am also starting to get more excited. I've ordered some really cute maternity clothes since we have a wedding and some fun events planned in the coming months and I want to look halfway cute- plus it will be so fun being pregnant in the spring and summer here. No ugly jackets and sweaters for me! I've also signed up for a pregnant pilates class, and am even thinking about doing a birth preparation class for women having their 2nd or more. I don't think I need it but insurance covers it, and I think it might get me more excited and be fun to meet some other women who are not having their first.

I'm really excited for DH to come back Monday night. Teddy is adorable but so tiring- just on the go constantly and I will be happy to get a break. I also will be happy to hang out with DH again and have some fun, although I won't lie it has been great to get a lot of reading done without distractions:)
