Aawww, thanks so much girls, especially to Sarah for starting this thread!

Well, we've had a busy few days. Yesterday we had his baby-birthday party (we were 7 babies and 7 sets of parents in total), which was really nice. We didn't do anything special apart from nice food and birthday cakes; the babies could just play around as they liked and they all enjoyed it.

Now today Teddy had not such a good start to the day. He woke up at 5am screaming with pain, and would not settle unless held by me in an upright position. We finally gave him some paracetamol and I held him (sitting upright in bed!) until he fell asleep again, at 6am, and he continued to sleep until 8. When he woke up, all was good! So we think it must have been teething pain- he just had a new tooth through last week, and now it looks like one of the molars is trying to come through.

While I was sat in bed with him though I did have to think of last year. That was the exact position he would sleep in when he was newborn - snuggled up on my chest like a koala, with me sitting up. I remember how I marvelled how such a big thing had ever fitted into my belly, ha ha!

It is truly amazing that he is now a year old. On one hand, where has the time gone? How did he grow up so quickly, from "tiny" newborn to a big strong boy who runs through the house and can express himself quite clearly? On the other hand it's weird to think that I ever WASN'T a mum, KWIM? That there was ever a time when he wasn't there!
