Hi ladies! I know I said months ago that I would be around more in March but my life has just been so crazy!!! Right around the time my medical terminology course ended (I finished it with a final grade of 96% BTW!), work picked up and I also started going to the gym with a friend two nights a week. I barely put Elena to bed myself anymore, that's mostly DH's job now.
Anyway... on Monday I am taking Elena to visit my mom and my sister in Ontario (2/3rd's of the way across the country) and we'll be gone for 11 days. DH isn't coming (couldn't really afford it, plus it's all my family and friends there anyway), so I'm going to have to entertain a 22 month old on a 5+ hour flight all by myself. Eek!
When I get back I am reeeaaalllly going to try to start posting more again! I miss all of you so much and think of you often, and I feel so out of the loop now - I don't even know who's pg
Kelly - So good to hear from you! COngrats on your course score! that's awesome. and GL On the trip to Ontario, but how nice to be able to see your family and friends for such a good lenght of time. Have fun!! We definitely have missed you around here.
Have a great trip and looking forward to seeing you around more often!
It's so great to hear from you! I always wonder about the mommies that go MIA for awhile. :-)
You do sound SO much happier and that is fantastic that you are able to get some ME time a few nights a week. (Ella - I'm in the same boat as you re: bedtime. My DH has only put her to bed once, maybe twice, because of the whole nursing thing and I'm usually the one who's consistently home for bedtime so it's just easier for ms to do it.)
As for flying, I've flown twice with Selin now (about to do a trip overseas with her next month - eel!
Thanks for the replies everyone! I know why I missed this place. :)
Anna - thanks, I actually am much happier than I was a few months ago. I went to my doctor in January and she diagnosed me with depression. She doesn't figure it's PPD, since I do have depression my family (my mother has severe mahor depressive disorder) and since I told her I have been susceptible to low moods for years, she figured it was genetic and had little to do with having a baby. So I am on antidepressants now (which is totally fine - I'm not one of those anti-medication people) and have strict orders to exercise since that is known to boost mood levels almost as much or more than medication (hence joining a gym). So yeah... all that crankiness and lack of patience with my child and

I agree with Anna- you do sound much happier!! Congratulations on doing so well on your course as well:) I know you will have a fabulous time visiting your mom and sister and traveling with a young one really isn't too bad, especially as she is old enough to be distracted by the video monitors :D
Here is a link to my blog post about traveling in case you want to check it out.
