Andi, Lansinoh works well, I also have a cream from California Baby that works decently for Sully when he had a nasty drool/heat rash earlier this summer.

Alyssa - As for walking both Desmond and Eloise were walking between 10 and 11 months old, and Sully looks like he will be following suit. My nephew on the other hand is 12 1/2 months and right around the same stage of cruising/starting to stand on his own as Sully, so ages really do vary. As long as they start walking by 18 months they are considered in the range of normal.

Anna: Food has never affected sleeping on my 3. I even tried oatmeal cereal a few times with Desmond, since I was told it would help, it was an utter lie, at least for us. Hope Bo starts sleeping better soon, I am personally just glad that Sully is back to twice a night wakings after 3 nights of every hour wakings.

Erica: I admit we've resorted to half a tablet of dramamine for Eloise when traveling if we are going for a long distance. I also make sure I always have a towel and change of clothes easily accessible for her just in case. I also put a movie in for her on our portable video player, it seems to help her a lot since that way she doesn't have to look out the windows.

Hi everyone else, I'm reading at least now, even if I am not responding.

Thank you for the sig Mary

Andi - Yay for such a good appointment!! That IS great news! I think lansinoh would be just fine. I asked if it was safe for them to ingest (since you put it on your breasts and I didn't know if I needed to wash it off before breast feeding) and my midwife said it was just fine.

How is the weather in your neck of the woods? Is that normal for this time of year? It's been around 100F for the last week... It is normal, but not for so many days in a row, our usual summer temps are +-90F

Little one(s) name and ages: Fede, 2 years old. Julia/Santiago, 28 weeks pregnant.

What is something your LO(s) do that totally remind you of you? Physically he has my body type... you can only describe him as "strongly built". and DH swears he has my temper!

What new fall show are you still watching/did you love? If no favorites what was the last movie you saw and liked? Gosh... I really need to go to the cinema!

I'm so heart broken for one of my EC members. At 20 weeks she found out her son had trisomy 18. She continued with the pregnancy and was induced the day before her due date. He was born on his due date, but lived only an hour. Both Rob and I cried seeing the pictures she put on facebook. It's just not right. No one should ever have to watch their child die :(

Oh, Amy...how awful. My heart aches for them. I'm sure it's a very painful decision, but I'm glad the couple continued with the pregnancy. They can always treasure that single hour of his life. I pray the family can find some peace. Is this their first baby?

Amy,

Praying for that family. I had someone in my EC go through that as well. I cried every time I read the updates on her blog. So sad. :-*(

How is the weather in your neck of the woods? Is that normal for this time of year? Unseasonably warm and no snow on the ground - totally not normal for us! Living in the Midwest, we usually have had a few major snowfalls by now but we've yet to get enough to even shovel! I fear it's going to hit us bigtime, like it did last Feb., but at least that means a snow day for me, hee hee. One of my colleagues has a sign on her door that says "Please snow. I'm a teacher." :-)

Little one(s) name and ages: Selin Chloe, almost 23 months

What is something your LO(s) do that totally remind you of you? Well lately everyone is telling me that she's a mini-me, in terms of looks, but she TOTALLY has DH's personality, esp. his temper. I think the only thing she got from me personality-wise is liking to snuggle, lol.

What new fall show are you still watching/did you love? If no favorites what was the last movie you saw and liked? No new shows, and most of the shows DH and I watch are on cable so really hard for us to cut that expense! We watch all the Kardashian shows (not the most quality tv, I know, I know), Anthony Bourdain/Andrew Zimmer, Iron Chef (and other foodie shows), Mad Men (can't wait for the new season!) and we were watching Justified for awhile but kind of fell behind. There's just so much on tv these days, it's hard to keep up. I can't remember the last time we went to the movies, but we usually rent from Redbox (the $1 vending kiosk) pretty regularly. I think the last one we rented was 'Our Idiot Brother' and we actually liked it. It was a little weird at first but then we grew interested.

How is the weather in your neck of the woods? Is that normal for this time of year? Weird...some days its cold and other days its mild. Its usually cold and snowy this time of year, but its been very inconsistent this year.

Little one(s) name and ages: Maxim 20 months

What is something your LO(s) do that totally remind you of you? His facial expressions sometimes are like mine. He also looks so much more like me than DH so its like looking into a mirror.

Not big into tv...last movie I saw was Horrible Bosses on DVD...hilarious!
