Christine - oh no!! So sorry about the accident. Glad you're okay (hopefully the back pain will go away quickly). And definitely thank goodness Selin wasn't in the car with you, that'd be scary.
Ash - haha, yah, funny how these babies "turn out" huh, you never really know. I'm hoping the girls will be at least a
Christine - Sorry about the car accident. KUP on the doctors appointment. I feel your pain (See below)Sandy - Those pictures are adorable! Mari - I totally can't believe that you are 32 weeks already!! Seriously where does time go? Andi - I LOVE the pictures in your signature! They are so darn adorable!Waving hi to everyone else. I am reading and keeping up, just can't remember the rest of the personals I was going to say.AFM - Not sure if I told you ladies (so sorry if it's a repeat) but my best friend had her baby Henry 10 weeks early. She had Pre-E and some other complications - pretty much her body was rejecting him. But he is doing great. He went from Level 1 NICU to Level 2 NICU - AKA the "Growers". He was 2lbs 13oz when he was born 2 weeks ago and he is now just over 3lbs and breathing on his own. we had a baby shower for her yesterday and I am hoping that in a few weeks here we can go and see the little guy. I survived my 6yo cousin's birthday party with her and 12 of her friends, plus Gabby and her little sister who is a week younger than Gabby, her older brother who is 10 and 2 of his friends. It was a busy house, but I am glad I went, my aunt wouldn't have survived by herself.
Sandy - The pictures are so cute! David is one handsome little guy. :-)
Mari - I can't believe you're 32 weeks already! Congrats on the new pups - can't wait to see pics! DH says he'll think about a dog once we get a bigger house. Selin LOVES animals.
AFM - I got rear ended on my way to work this morning literally minutes after dropping Selin off at the sitter in our neighborhood. Thank God it was today and not tomorrow because she's at another sitter T-TH and she still would have been in the car with me at that point. I was stopped waiting to turn to get on the highway and this lady slammed into me. Of course I was in our newer car but thankfully, there was not a lot of damage, just a big scuff mark and some paint scraped off.
My body however is another story. As soon as she hit me (and then two cars behind her rear ended as well), my neck hurt. Now the neck pain is mostly gone but my back is killing me. I was an hour late to school and I'm leaving early to go to the doctor to get checked out. She got a ticket for the accident and she is blaming me saying I got into the lane too late which is so not true because I was already stopped in the lane and she hit me square in the middle of my bumper so obviously she was lined up right behind me. She had a little one in her car and I'm guessing she wasn't paying attention. Also her plates were expired so I'm sure that's not in her favor as well. We have a March court date so I'll have to take a personal day for that.
OOps! I forgot the AFM part!
I am doing fine, although I am beggining to feel tired of being pregnant... I am 32 weeks now, and things are getting really uncomfortable... But... I still need to keep baking this little one for a while, so no sense in complaining!! Next thursday I have an u/s, and I hope I can find out the sex. But more important, I hope s/he is still head down!!
Fede is making some unthinkable progress lately... He finally acknowledges that there is a baby inside me (or whatever he understands of that concept). And now kisses my belly and says baby pointing at it.
Christine- Congratulations on Selin's potty progress!!!! ANd I'm also impressed about your birthday plans... I hope it turns out to be an awesome party!
Alyssa- ((hugs!)) Fede didn't walk until he was 1 year and 4 months old!! I totally understand your feelings about explaining stuff to people. Even though they only ask out of love (or simply trying to be polite), they manage to make you feel like your child has some sort of problem. To be honest, I think it is "us", the moms who are worried about it deep down and so we are super sensitive about such things... personally I am trying to become more confident as a mother and not doubt so much my child's progress and my own abilities as a mom.
Wow...I go away for a weekend and come back to so many posts.
I went on a women's retreat this weekend. For those of you who aren't Catholic, it's Christ Renews His Parish which is a women's retreat at our church.
