Hi Ladies,

Not much new but I've been reading. The discussions on here have been so diverse...rescue dogs, skin tone, Mari is having a girl! Cool!

Maxim is getting louder and louder and he's so smart but dang kiddo, give me a word!! I think he asks "that?" as in Whats that...and points to stuff. It seems like a question anyway. He is outright friggin funny...I love this age :)

In other news, I'm having a rough day. If you want the deets, I posted it on my blog.

DH and I are good...we went to a financial planner a few weeks ago to get some help sorting out some decisions we need to make with savings, spending and retirement. I think it will really help...we havent thought about this sort of stuff until now living on one income...now with two incomes, these choices can be pondered more seriously.

Kate,

I'm Lithuanian, too! (my mom is half) I lived in LT during the summer of 2002 for a language study program. My mom and I go for LT food from time to time. My aunt makes a mean kugelis. I craved it so bad when I was PG. :-)

I was also going to suggest Polish for Ray? His skin tone is similar to some of my Polish students at school.

Morgan: Did they give you the epifoam at all while you where in the hospital? Probably not if you didn't have them after delivery... that stuff is a life saver, whenever mine act up I use it. You could always ask your DR about it.

Morgan - I had them riiiight at the end of the pregnancy and they've showed up a time or two since, but a little witch hazel like everyone is saying, and hopefully with time you won't continue to experience them. No fun!

Christine - glad you're feeling better! And good luck flying solo the next 10 days!

Morgan - I got a hemorroid while PG and it sucked! It shrunk back down after delivery but it is still there (but doesn't bother me). Erica has a good suggestion with the witch hazel. When we were discharged from the hospital, they gave me a whole tub of WH wipes to tuck right by the hemorroid. Between that, the spray I had to put on my stiches and those ginormous pads you have to wear with the net underwear, it was such an ordeal every time I had to go to the bathroom because I had to change everything each time. Hope you'll be feeling better soon!

Kate - Thanks for the advice. I forgot to come back here to update!

AFM - Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Physically, I feel much better. I saw my doc after school on Monday and I go this afternoon for a f/u. She said it is typical whiplash. My neck is a little stiff but my back is pretty good for the most part. I ended up calling the lady's insurance Monday night and opening a claim, and they took my statement yesterday, but she has still yet to contact them and they've tried calling her and emailing her. This makes me very nervous and I'm wondering if she's going to blow off the court date as well. That happened to my DH a few years ago when his car was totalled, the other party didn't have a license or insurance, and she didn't show for court either. We never saw a dime.

The damage is not bad, but we would like to get it fixed since our car is only 4 years old and in otherwise perfect condition. I'm not too worried about the medical expenses as it's only two doctor visits and a prescription. If we end up having to fix the car ourself, we have a family member who owns a body shop and he usually cuts us a very good deal on repairs. Just upsetting to have to waste all this time on the insurance when I have a feeling she's going to get out of it, although she did get a ticket for the accident so I'm guessing if she doesn't show for court, that can't be a good thing?

In happier news, Selin has recently started saying "What happened?" and asking "Why?" to everything. My DH flies out tonight to go overseas to visit his family so it's just me and her for the next 10 days. :-)
