Erica - Aww, thanks! GL with the LLL group - I hope you get a great response!

Sandy - Sorry about the DC woes. I can't believe your sitter's latest drama! Glad you're getting out of there and hope she doesn't make the last two weeks miserable for you.

Mari - I LOL'd at the "bunnies" comment too! You go mama. ;-)

Amy - DTD already? Good for you! DH and I didn't do anything for at least the first three months! But I'm sure healing "down there" from a c/s is easier than from a vaginal birth, right?

Brita - Great to hear from you! I'd love to see Novalie's fuzz! ;-)

AFM - Quick rant here: we got dumped on today and it took me 2.5 hours to get home! I was actually at a school closer to me because I had to go for training today so in theory, it should have taken me LESS time to get home. Thank god my DH left work early and was able to pickup Selin from the sitter as I didn't get home until after 6pm. :-/

Christine - It really is. Nothing went on down there, they pull out the placenta's by hand so with a c-section there is really nothing to recover from. With Jensen I tore so bad and was so swollen the Dr couldn't even examine me until 8 weeks pp.

I honestly haven't been in the mood at all but I felt bad neglecting the hubby so about once a week I give in lol. I wish I had the drive but I keep sporadically bleeding and it's such a mood killer.

Erica: If it's any consolation Teddy only gained 1.5 lbs. in 3 months (between 6 months and 9 months)... it's typical for baby's to have a plateau for a bit. One of the little girls in my PG was only 12 lbs. at 6 months as well. They sent her to a dietitian, etc and it just turns out that she's petite and very active.

Brita, you are so right about people and their comments about size... most people have no clue. I was constantly getting comments about how SMALL Teddy was, but his height in 95%... now everyone tells me how huge he is... and he's still 95% for height. Make up your mind people.

Hi everyone, Posting quick beforeI head to a mothers meet up. Things are going well here Teddy has had a few more tantrums since his first but I realize that they all tend to be occuring right after picking him up from the tagesmutter and that I need to just try and schedule down time for an hour or so then. However I also will just ignore the cries if it happens in the supermarket, etc as he seems to do best if we just continue doing whatever we were doing and he just gets to be grumpy for a few minutes.

It is hard sometimes because he still uses so few words consistently that I can tell he is sometimes just frustrated but can't tell me why. Oh well that is part of growing up I guess :) We do think that he has about 100 words now - too bad many of them he has only said once or twice and then never again LOL! Most of the day I get to listen to a chorus of MAMA MAMA MAMA MAMA MAMA MAMA MORE MORE MORE MAMA MORE MORE MINE MINE MINE. As he has figured out that more is pretty much the only word neccesary to get his point across- and of course what child in a daycare setting or with siblings doesn't learn mine pretty darn quick? LOL He still is speaking almost solely in German but I think just to annoy me :P :D

Also for everyone having sleep hiccups just remember often times it is only a phase. We just went through about 2-3 weeks where Teddy started getting up at 6-6:30 which is WAY too early for us! However I thought it was just a wierd phase and it was- he is back to sleeping till 7:30/8:00 and it is SO great! That extra hour makes all the difference for me especially in this first trimester where I can barely get out of bed anyway.

I hope everyone is doing well!

I agree, Ash. So many of our sleep troubles have been passing phases. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Jonah's "issues" are going to pass sooner rather than later!

Well, our family has just reached out into the realm of organized sports. Oh, boy...I'm not sure I'm ready for this! Fletcher is officially signed up for t-ball. They start practices during the first week of February. Games (every Saturday) start in March, and the season only runs through mid-May. I'm a little nervous about the time commitment. We guard our family time like gold, so I'm having a little trouble letting go of that. I think Fletcher is going to enjoy it though.

Ash- Wait until he enters the "NO"phase. We are in the no phase now. Everything is "NO" even if he wants it. Also he changes his mind constantly which just started a few weeks ago too. Totally annoying but probably totally normal.

Sandy,

We've been in that "NO" phase for a few months now. Totally annoying indeed. :-/
