Andi- I have cooked with onions before and never any issues. The only thing was this recipe had lots. It had a whole onion and then french onion soup on top of it. So maybe just too much for his little body. I'm a little nervous about cooking with them again but I think from now on maybe I should omit them or put very little in there until I know he isn't going to get sick again.
It is January and a new year is upon us, I know that always leads to a mixture of positive and negative feelings for most of us. So lets check in....
Name/SO Name or PS: Liz and Sean
How is the weather in your neck of the woods? Is that normal for this time of year? Today should be low 40s, which is pretty typical. Tuesday was bitterly cold.
Little one(s) name and ages: Peter Amias, 16 months
What is something your LO(s) do that totally remind you of you? DH says Peter got his dramatic side from me.
What new fall show are you still watching/did you love? If no favorites what was the last movie you saw and liked? I'm a Biggest Loser fan! I've only missed 1 or 2 seasons, in college. It's the one show I insist on watching every week.
AFM--Whoa! I took the beginning of this week off work, and now I'm totally messed up. I have no idea what day it is!
Anyway, we had a great Christmas! Peter was more interested in standing on the gift boxes, but that's ok. We also got a dog, so we're trying to get her used to him. So far so good. :)
His vocabulary has really taken off. He constantly asks for his hat, and loves saying "Don't know" and "Whoa!" He also knows what sounds monkeys, lions, cows, ducks, and dogs make. Cats sound like lions, only quieter. His bottom molars must be getting close. His mouth is so swollen and purple looking. And he's started testing us. We finally took away his ride-on zebra after he shut the glass door so he could ram into it. Repeatedly. He's such a little boy, and I love it!
Hey ladies, any good recommendations on product for sensitive baby skin? Elia is getting a mean chin/around-the-mouth rash from all the drool. The dr recommended aquaphor, but she's constantly sucking on her lower lip and licking around her mouth and I dont want her ingesting it. Lansinoh maybe???
A quick update: we had the girls follow up "high risk preemie" appt today. A 2 hr appt with all these dr's doing evals. At the end they literally said "these girls are too big (18lbs!!!) and healthy to be seen by us again." Pretty great news. :)
Liz- hahaha, I bet that's what my DH will say about the girls being "drama queens". ;)
Suzie- I think it was you who mentioned Up All Night? We are loving that show! I'm not usually a big sitcom fan but the material is so relatable and the writing and acting is so good!! It's the only show that makes me truly laugh out loud.
