HI Ladies,

I've been reading but too busy to post lately.

Maxim is doing well. He's busy, he's running now and he's whining/tantruming/otherwise easily frustrated. He's still not really talking which is driving my DH insane with worry...me, I think about it ocassionally but remind myself to relax. We have a doc's appt on the 19th for his 18 month vax (a bit behind) and the doc may want to make a referral but I'm going to refuse. When he's two and there is still concerns, we may go private with a friend of mine who is a speech path...at least then I can control the information and who gets it better that way.

My work is busy. Lots of changes at the hospital and our numbers have been a little low lately but they are coming back up with the new year. Its stressful and tiring and I have to work hard to find time to wind down and relax. I"m going to take bellydancing again in March, I have found my niched as far as an activity I enjoy (dancing) and is a good workout too.

DH and I are good. TTC may be around the corner for us, sometime after May. We havent really pinpointed it down other than it wont be before my 30th birthday. I'm excited and anxious all at once about it.

I cant wait for my SIL and BIL to have their baby..my SIL is such a drama queen..she is normally but its worse with her PG...ugh. They are having a boy so Maxim will have a little playmate in a few months :)

Christine- Actually the lady he is with now is licensed so that is the weird part. The girl we are planning on switching to she's not but she was a pre school teacher before she had kids so I feel pretty comfortable with her.

Morgan - I think that weight gain sounds normal enough - and your plan to BF more is better than any amount of solids you can try to give him - BM has more calories! Keep up the good work, mama.

Jess - YAY for getting into the DC you've been waiting for. What a relief for you guys!

Christine - Yeah, Selin is getting to the age when it got hard for me to take Eliza grocery shopping, too. It has gotten better over the last few months, surprisingly, though I do limi my time at the grocery store to maybe 20 minutes max. I just try to talk talk talk to her the whole time and keep her engaged and answering my questions. Now that I think about it, it was when her verbal skills really took off that it got easier. I feel you pain though!! Also, re: Vit D, I sort of got lazy about giving it to Eliza, but I still do when I remember.

Sandy - Sounds like it is/was definitely the right decision to change sitters. Hope you find someone new who you can trust.

AFM - Eliza is potty trained!!! I am really proud of her, and SO EXCITED to be done washing diapers (actually, mostly glad to be done spraying dirty diapers - ICK, never got used to that part). We started a week ago today and she hasn't had an accident since Wednesday. She was definitely very ready. I was ready for diapers to realistically continue until well into this year, but I followed her lead and she did GREAT with it! If anyone is interested in reading about it, I am writing about it day-by-day on my blog: http://ellamybabylove.blogspot.com/

And, to top off the big girl week, she is spending her first night in her big girl bed tonight :) We'll see how that goes... I have a feeling it will NOT be as easy as the potty training was.

Wow... Only a week to potty train. We are going on a month but he wont go back to diapers. I guess every child goes at their own pace.

Ella - Hooray for PTing! I caught up on your blog this morning and totally LOLd at you holding down the kitties so Eliza could pee for them!

Ruby - I'm so jealous you're taking belly dancing classes. I took them about 5 years ago and LOVED it. Wish I had the time/money to get back into it. I just bought Zumba for the wii and am having fun.

Ella, I'm so jealous!!!!! Fede is nowhere near being potty trained... and I hoped so badly that I wouldn't have 2 in diapers!!! He has showed some interest, but nothing consistent, and I don't want to force him. So.. it seems it's a lost cause for now!!!

No vit D drop here... our ped doesn't recommend them... that being said Teddy has low iron (always has) and we "treat" it with diet (which seems to control it well, as he gets regular blood testing for it).

Christine,

I have Zumba for Wii too! DH and I do i together, its fun!

Ella,

Yay for Eliza being PT'd!! I have to admit that entire process just terrifies me. Ugh, so not there yet, I'm not even going to bother trying until he's 2. Glad it went so well for you. And yes I took bellydancing foundations back in September for 6 weeks and then 6 weeks of vintage burlesque. Both were super fun and totally different dance styles. DH got me a gift cert for Christmas to keep going (its a little expensive and I got a discount through a deal website for the first go around) so I'm going to take bellydancing again. Its a great stress reliever thats for sure and I feel good getting in tune with my body again.

Sandy,
Sorry about the DC woes, hope it settles soon!
