DH/SO/PS* Sean

Kiddos Peter Amias, 10 months

Fur Pets Sam and Alice, cats. (Alice has been missing for a week, so...but I'm still hopeful she'll come home.)

General Location Western North Carolina

Tell us something each kid is up to. Peter started standing unassisted for several seconds at a time this weekend. He also fell off the bed and tried to crawl off the couch. And he's teething. I *think* he said kitty yesterday. It sounded like it, so I looked around to see if he was watching Sam. Nope, not watching. He was sitting on the cat. Oh, and he's finally getting to the point that he'll nap in his crib. I can get so much more done now! (Yes, I've spent the last 10 months holding him for naps. Probably not the best habit I started.)

What are you looking forward to this summer?

Liz--I used to have to hold Evan for naps too--and he only started napping in his crib at around 10 months also--but since about 16-17 months, aside from an adjustment period when we moved, he's been an awesome napper (2-3 hours every day in his bed) and he sleeps well at night. My motto is do what works--habits can be broken:)

Sara--That's what I keep telling everyone. I'm getting a lot of flack from family for still co-sleeping, but there's no way I could handle the 2-3 wake ups a night otherwise. I just need naps to be in the crib so I can get the housework done! I'm glad to hear that Evan has done so well. Maybe Peter will follow in his footsteps! :)

Liz - I agree with Sara, whatever works for you... with the added as long as you're happy, and it seems to be working for you and your happy.. family likes giving flack.

Kiddos David Nicholas (19 months today)

Fur Pets 1 dog, Casey

General Location Indianapolis, IN

Tell us something each kid is up to. David is doing more and more. He still has temper tantrums but they are getting better and he usually only does if I have to take something away that he shouldn't be into which usually means it's nap time. He does play by himself a lot more without me having to keep my eyes on him constantly but I still do check to make sure he isn't doing something stupid. His toddler bed is going well, he slept in a big bed in the hotel and and grandpa's this weekend on our trip to Ohio. I will post some pics when I create another thread when I have a moment.

What are you looking forward to this summer? Just got back from Ohio so that is our big trip for the summer. However, my mother in law is coming here for a weekend (maybe more). She's coming up to visit her parents in Ohio for a month or more from Florida. We wanted a weekend away from David since we haven't had a chance to do that yet since we don't have any family in town and a sitter is a fortune overnight.
