Christine- Thomas also wore Teddy in the baby carrier about 2 times. I have to admit that I didn't mind though. Even though I find the type of dad who babywears pretty darn cute I totally got why Thomas wasn't that into it. Teddy was really fussy even in the baby carrier so it wasn't just like put the carrier on, Teddy sleeps, and we stroll around. Since I had lots of practice keeping him calm it just made sense for me to wear him. Of course with 2 I think he would have had to help LOL :)
Christine, We planned on me living with my brother. There are a few things to work out as of space and who is sleeping were and such. I don't want to push Dove out of her room even though she is only there two nights a week but my brother doesn't really want to give up the master room which is the larger one which would work better for Simon and I.
The house we are looking at is by sealed bid. It used to be the domestic violance shelter in town. The city is putting it up. We went and looked at the outside today. We hope to go look on the inside before he heads back. The only reason we are even considering it is because its by a sealed bid and due in Sept. And we hope that we can get it for a lower price as it needs some work and on a lower salary I can't aford to much with us living apart. Guess we will see though.
Andi- How do you like the moby wrap? I want to get one with my next. I got one of those carriers for David and he was constantly falling. I am probably not going to use it again.
Well potty training went pretty well. I think David is on to realizing when he is going and that he needs to let us know we need to take him to the potty. Yesterday, went awful. He did not pee on the potty at all. We tried the naked method and it backfired and we ended up cleaning pee of the floor numerous times. So, today we did underwear with a plastic pants over and he peed in the potty twice and almost pooped. I didn't leave him on there enough and he was getting bored and two minutes later he went. But, I think he realized he did it and was supposed to go in the potty. He only had two accidents today which was great. And the second time he realized he was peeing and ran to the potty. He can't say potty yet but he pulled at himself and I got him to the potty and that is when he peed. So at least he is communicating it to me. That is a huge step.
But we were out at the pool a good chunk so we only did afternoon and early evening.
What kind of carrier did you have? Maybe you can take it to a store that sells carriers and such and ask them how to use it so it doesn't feel like baby is falling out? I love my Ergo. Keep an eye on babysteals.com. They have them there from time to time.
That pool looks like so much fun! David is too cute walking through the water loops. Selin would die for that water slide. She LOVES the water. We went out to dinner the other night and were walking around afterwards and she kept wanting to swim in this fountain that was in the town square. She got so mad that we wouldn't let her in it. :-P
ETA: Glad to hear potty training is off to a good start!!
Green poo can be many things... Teddy went through this for a while too at Juliet's age it stressed me out and then went away.
AF may be around the corner. nursing got painful the first time AF showed up, and Teddy got very fussy with it, since she has left all is back to normal.
Christine I do not remember and it is in the attic so I would have to see if I could find it online. But I did not like it at all even if he was not falling out. I will prob just sell it and get a moby for the nxt one. Since I will have a toddler I will most likely need something.
Sandy - I love my moby wrap! and I love that it's not too expensive. I use it more now with Gabby than I did when she was an itty bitty - only because I was still getting used to it and also she hated it at the time.
Christine - WE have Johnson and JOhnson, but I love Mustela shampoo and diaper cream. ALthough I don't know if they changed the formula on their diaper cream because its a lot runnier than it used to be....But as soon as we use up the johnson and johnson I will be going back to mustela.
Grace - I hope you are feeling better!!
Cassie - GL on the house and KUP.
AFM - I have been crazy busy...we are getting so close to our remodel that I am getting stressed but excited. DH is also talking that he might have to go to the Netherlands Antilles (I had to look it up, but it's an island off the coast of Venzuela and Aruba) for a week maybe more for work - rough huh?? but it would be at the end of the month and in the middle of the remodel, so I told im that if that's the case I don't want to be the one doing the general contracting. I can't handle that, on top of a 40-50 hour a week job, take care of the dog and the baby and the house...and living in a remodel. so hopefully he finds out soon if he is going or not and then we can pick the one contractor that will do all the work for us, except some remodeling. Oh the decisions. WE are heading camping this weekend - wish me luck first time with Gabby so we will see how it goes.
