Liz- Yay for getting time for yourself during naps:) I told my friends back home (who are all single or somewhat serious with a partner but definitely still child free) that I had to hold Teddy for all his naps and night time sleep for the first 4 months and that it kind of sucked at the time but of course now it was fine and they were so shocked. It was hilarious. I was saying how I was happy I didn't get hemorrhoids during the pregnancy which most women do, and they were all like why do people have babies??? Haha little do they know that I can't wait to have number 2. But I don't think they will understand how awesome having children is, until they experience it themselves.

Mari- I love seeing kids who are good with balls it is so fun to watch. Sorry that the tantrums are starting- a friend of mine has a daughter two weeks older then Teddy (so almost 16 months) and she is already SO sassy! She is verbally really advanced and she will say things like "Her name, no!" just copying her mom, or she just screams whenever something isn't how she wants it. I feel so sorry for her mom but she is also super adorable and I think we will all have to go through this stage:)

Kate- Tell them to shove it! I can't believe that I mean honestly why do they even care? Do they think Theodore will somehow be negatively affected by it??

Sandy- Glad the transition to the toddler bed is going well and that you and DH will get a weekend away. I bet it will be awesome!

Brita- Congratulations! Do you and Jason have something nice planned? I only remember our dating one because it falls on the same day as my SIL and BIL's wedding anniversary:) Barrett sounds too cute, and I can't believe Novalie is already 2 months! I bet teaching dance camp will be a lot of fun.

Ella- Eliza is SO adorable! I can just picture her saying those phrases:D I hope you have an amazing trip next week , I'm sure it will be a blast. How is the weather supposed to be? I know it has been super hot.

AFM- Oh my gosh Teddy is so adorable that I can't stand it. He is just so happy and mischievous it really cracks me up. Although he also does about a million things to drive me crazy

Ash- I remember our dating anniversary. It is Feb 17th 3 days after Valentine's day. Of course we dated for 5 yrs before we even got engaged. And I forgot to mention our weekend away in a hotel (most likely here) but it is still away is going to be our anniversary celebration since we couldn't do anything for ours this year with two events the two weeks before and then going out of town this past weekend. We are celebrating 9 years.

HA! Ash I have to laugh at Teddy's intelligence/mischievousness -- bringing a pail from his room to the kitchen to use as a step stool!? That's awesome (albeit probably somewhat annoying after a while - haha). He is too funny!

Thanks Ella! :-)

I have a question for everyone. We are bf'ing and the on-call ped at the hospital (couldn't stand him but anyways) was talking about Vit. D drops. Does anyone do them? What's the point? My twin never used them with her 3 so just curious. Haven't done it yet lol.

I asked my ped about these at Theo's 4 month appointment, as we are EBFing and I had seen conflicting results. Her answer "why mess with Mother's Nature", she then added that no long term studies have been done on giving infants vitamin D and therefore the full risks and rewards are not know, lastly she added that we are all a little vitamin D deficient. She is very pro-BFing and follows a "natural parenting" path but believes in scheduled vaccines.

That being said, we aren't doing the vitamins. When Ray was an infant she didn't recommend then either (and I never asked about them).... and he's just fine.

Katie - I didn't get to Bf but from what I have read they are recommending Vit D drops for BF babies because they say they are deficient. That the vit d doesn't go through BM very well. FF babies don't have to worry about it as its already in the formula.

We were also told to give Vit D drops but I did not.
