I guess this is just another thing peds give differing advice on! We live in a state that doesn't get a lot of sun year-round, so our ped advised us to use D-drops with Eliza. We did/do, but not during the summer months since she gets enough sun exposure (with sunscreen :)) These are the ones we use: http://www.amazon.com/Carlson-Labs-Natural-Vitamin-Drops/dp/B003BVIBMO

I used the vitamin drops with David. I put them in my milk since I BF and pumped b/c the first time I tried to give it straight and he hated it. She said I should still be giving them not for vitamin D so much but for numerous ones,

Like Ella, I also live in a state that does not get sun year-round and we also use the Carlson drops. They are WAY better than the nasty, staining

Hi Katie! It is great to see you here:)
Like Ella we live somewhere that can be gray for days so everyone in Germany is prescribed vitamin D tablets for the first year. I didn't have anything against them but I forgot almost always and probably only ended up giving them about 20 times his whole first year- whoops LOL.

Name Suzie
DH/SO/PS*Joe
Kiddos Greyson
General Location Virginia
Tell us something each kid is up to. Greyson is increasing his vocabulary and charming everyone he meets. He's recently started pointing out squirrels (and bunnies) but points and says "quirrel!". We think he may be starting to form two word sentences since we have now heard "dada bye bye" and "quirrel
What are you looking forward to this summer?

Darnit! The joys of posting from my phone....
"quirrel gone.". He draws attention wherever we go even from other parents. He's cute, but he's definitely got that special magnetism drawing people in thing.

So in the last 3 weeks, I finished school and moved from the mountains to the beach. DH had been working here for about 6 weeks before we could join him. So now we are staying with my grandparents while we await the sale of our home. My Gparents have adjusted to life with a toddler and we are all getting along well. I'm adjusting to being home with Grey all day again and have decided I'm not quite ready yo be a ft sahm, so I have applied for 2 hrs a day teaching positions. Please keep your fingers crossed for me!

We get plenty of sun around here, and for the first 6 months our pedi was happy with just the BM.

At 6 months he asked us to supplement with vitamins (trivisol) and iron. He had no problem with the vitamins but the iron was so nasty... I tasted them once and next appt. told the pedi that they tasted like "rotten mucus"! He laughed his head off and prescribed a different brand.

I kept forgetting anyways, thinking that since he was BF and well fed, he didn't need them, but then Fede dropped his height percentile and was barely a 10, and the Dr said that one of the reasons could be a little iron deficiency. Sure enough, as soon as I started to give it to him again he had a 4cm growth spurt!

50 posts and it's only the 6th! I will try to get reading over lunch today! So far behind.

We had an AWESOME weekend at the lake with the IL's. It was great. gabby had a WONDERFUL time. She is walking behind push toys and loving it. She actually threw her first temper tantrum over the radio flyer my niece had. It moved way too fast for her on the wood floor and my back was killing me having to bend over so we would take it away from her everyonce in awhile and she just got pissed. cutest thing ever - I know I won't be saying that in a year, but now it's cute.

She is home today with DH with a low grade fever and a runny nose. Daycare won't let her go if it's over 100, so home she stayed today. I am hoping it's just teeth and not an actual illness, but she is super clingy today. hopefully he is doing okay!
