I have a question for everyone. We are bf'ing and the on-call ped at the hospital (couldn't stand him but anyways) was talking about Vit. D drops. Does anyone do them? What's the point? My twin never used them with her 3 so just curious. Haven't done it yet lol.
Erica--I was so thrilled when you mentioned before that you were familiar with using the SNS . . . if you have to supplement but want to maintain a great BFing relationship, that is SUCH a great option.
Hey ladies, I realized I didn't check in officially
Name: Jess
Kiddos: Gabby 11 months
Tell us something each kid is up to: Gabby is walking assisted now, she is crusing along furniture and so proud of herself.
What are you looking forward to this summer? our home remodel. We are adding 2 bedrooms over the garage and a loft area and redoing a bathroom to add a hallway into the two new rooms, new entry way. it's going to be an entirely different house. I am most excited about the fact that Gabby this winter will have a well insulated room and we will have a new more efficient furnance.
Gabby is still sick - I am hoping she is finally getting over it. she hasn't been to daycare since Tuesday. I took her into the doctor and she doesn't have strep or ear infections, just a nasty cold..no runny nose which is good, but she has been such a cuddle bug lately and really really really really crabby. which is totally new to us. She would be sitting on the floor and happy as a clam and then all of a sudden burst into this god awful loud cry..not anything I have seen before...so hopefully it's better. her fever was down earlier tonight finally and she is (at least now) sleeping better....
We have a family party tomorrow so I am hoping she is better so we can go...Hope everyone has a great weekend. I have been reading, but got so far behind, hopefully I can keep up for the rest of the month.
Jess - So sorry to hear Gabby is still sick. Poor baby! When Selin has a cold, we do the following (and maybe you're already doing these): vaporizer in her room, Vicks on the bottom of her feet and a teeny bit on her chest, bed elevated with a rolled up towel, nasal spray. Hope she'll be well enough for the party tomorrow. It's no fun being sick during summer, as a kid or as an adult!
AFM - Selin had her f/u at the ped today and she has MRSA again. I think this is the third time she's had it this year alone, which scares the heck out of me. My mom was telling me that once you have it, it's in your body forever. I almost burst into tears when she said that. I feel so horrible that my poor innocent baby has this stupid thing hanging around. Just hoping the infectious diseases doc will be able to give us some more information. I finally convinced my DH to agree to hire someone to come and deep clean the house because there is no way I can do it on my own while watching her, not to the degree it needs to be cleaned.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. We have no big plans, just hanging out!

We "do" them, but that's a huge exaggeration.

Grace- That is too cute about James being so excited about the bluegrass festival that you guys are going to.
Sorry--I know I'm going to miss a bunch of you!
Sarah – I’m so jealous that you’ll see Wicked!
