Jess- I'm sorry about Gabby. I hope she feels better soon.

Christine- I can't believe she has MERSA again... Poor thing!! I'm not an expert, but as far as I know, even if a germ colonizes a human being, there are ways to keep it under control. I'm sure the specialist will give you some answers! Meanwhile, I hope she isn' too uncomfortable.

Erica- Milky vibes to you!!! In any case, you are such an awesome mum and a little supplementing won't hurt her!

Katie - Glad Z isn't giving you a hard time (yet), lol!

Mari - Poor Fede! Hope he'll be feeling better soon! By the way, he is just absolutely adorable in your new siggy! What a handsome blondie!!

AFM - Been a long day. I had an appt this morning for my annual with my MW and of course like 5 min before I have to drop Selin to my ILs, this major storm rolls in and knocked our power out. It's been over 16 hours now! Ridiculous! After my appt, we stayed home until it got unbearable (of course it was in the 90s today) then we met DHs sister and her DS at the mall where we stayed for a few hours. We actually had a fun time and the kiddos were pretty well behaved for the most part. We ate dinner at my ILs since their power was back and then Selin and I headed down to my parents house for the night while DH opted to sweat it out at home. We were able to split up our freezer items between my parents and my ILs since we just bought them this weekend. The rest we'll have to throw away though. So pissed, this is the second time in just a matter of weeks that our power has been out for over 12 hours and we had to dump everything in our fridge.

On a positive note, my appt this morning went really well. It was so nice to see my MW again - I really LoVE her and can't wait for her to deliver our next LO. She was excited to hear we're ready to TTC again, too. I told her about my wonky cycle (last AF was 6/5 so I'm technically late but she took a urine sample but thank God I am NOT PG! I mean I am totally ready to be but with our insurance situation, we would be totally screwed if I got PG right now. She did say though to test again in a week if AF still doesn't show.

Hope everyone is having a good week. Sure been quiet around here!

Oh and Ruby, GL at the hospital interview tomorrow!! Crossing all crossables for you. :-)

We are home, we had a ton of fun at my parents. We are planning on sending Desmond and Eloise with my parents to Hilton Head at the beginning of August if the plans work out. Which will be a nice vacation at home for me and DH as well.

Desmond had a ton of fun going down the water slides at the various pools in my parent's community. He went down 50 times one day. Eloise was not as much of a fan, she went down 3 times total. She did enjoy floating in a turtle float and a frog float though. Sully enjoyed the water as well.

Desmond and Eloise did great when we left them with my parents for a day and a half including 2 nights with my parents putting them to bed. Desmond missed us a bit, Eloise apparently did not, she was happy cuddling with my Mom.

The ride down and back was okay, though both times all the hotels were booked, so finding somewhere to stay was a pain. When we drive down for Thanksgiving we will be booking a room ahead of time and just stop where we booked rather then going till we are ready to stop. Dramamine helped Eloise a lot on the ride, which is good, though she is not a fan of taking the pill.

Sully is still super fussy and has an evil looking rash on his neck and face. We need to call the doctor and have his reflux medicine changed because his is not working and he is miserable a lot of the time. He has started laughing occasionally and he is a great roller and scooter. You can put him down on his back and a few minutes later he is on his tummy halfway across the room, complaining because he doesn't want to be on his tummy. He is growing so fast it is hard to believe he will be 4 months at the end of the month.

It is so nice to have AC again, we've been keeping it cold, it is so nice to come into a house that is at 72 vs 84. Though we will probably raise it up to 76/77 soon. It is also so quiet. We never even hear it running, when we first got home we were kind of paranoid that it wasn't working even though it was cold because we couldn't hear it blowing! I am in AC love right now.

Thank you for the sig Mary

Hi, everyone. Not a lot of time, but I wanted to jump in for a moment.

My husband and I are very involved in our church's Christian Education committee, and the committee had a little going away dinner for us yesterday evening. It was so sweet! They gave us a framed picture of a tree with a beautiful inscription. And there was a pink cake in Charlotte's honor.

Yesterday, we finally confirmed the rental property that will be our temporary home when we first more to Florida. That's a relief! We also began the enrollment process for Fletcher's new school. We've chosen a charter school that has an emphasis on the arts. We're excited about that!

I had my 2 week follow-up with my midwife practice. The infection that I had has cleared up, and I'm healing well. I feel great, and I'm enjoying my little girl!

Mari - Forgot to say earlier that I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother as well. She is in my prayers. Hope Fede is doing better!

Katie - Sounds like Z is doing just great! You're one lucky mama. ;-)

Sarah - Glad you had a good trip and yay for a cool house!

Erica - Hope the SNS is going well! GL packing.

AFM - Our power came back on tonight, hooray! You don't realize how much you depend on it until you go without for 3 days!

Also, I wanted to share this link I got through my LLL group. This website lists BFing-friendly places across the country. Go ahead and whip 'em out! LOL ;-)

Just a quick update...

Supplementing is going pretty well. I still hate it, but I need a strong healthy baby more than anything! The SNS is actually working much better this time than it did with Jonah. I think I've been more patient and also just more accepting of the fact that I can't produce a full supply.

Thank you all so much for the kind wishes!

We are officially leaving on Sunday, July 31. Cory, my dad, and the boys will start driving down on Saturday, July 30, but my mom, Charlotte, and I will be flying on Sunday.

Christine-- in another thread, you asked about the necklace that I had on in the picture after Charlotte's birth. It is a mother and child charm from Jared (jewelry store). Here is the link to the two toned one that I have:

Katie, how come you don't want to cosleep? I think it is definitely the easiest way to get the most sleep, maybe it will work for you better than you thought?
