Hey ladies, I couldn't find a video/photo thread for May, so I thought I'd start one. Even though we're already HALF WAY through the month (seriously, how did that happen SO FAST???!!!), better late than never!
(Okay, so this is more of a mini update plus pics :)
My baby girl turned six months old yesterday! She's doing great, she weighs 20 pounds and is 27" long, so she's definitely a big girl! She is so happy, and we are still so so so much in love - every passing day is more fun than the last with her! Since she hit the big 6-month mark, we started offering her solid foods this morning with a piece of banana and it was SO fun. She loved it! We're trying out baby-led weaning - we're not pureeing any foods for her and we're letting her self-feed - so I don't think she actually *ingested* a whole lot of it, but that's okay for right now, and she sure had fun with it. I think she really liked the taste - she kept putting it back in her mouth, so she must not have hated it! Here are some pics:
Happy girl, very proud of her messy face (and you can see her two teeth!):
The banana eventually got really slippery and she had trouble holding onto it... so DH helped out:
One last one of her enjoying her johnny jump-up this morning:
Ella I wanted to ask you how did you get the pics in the body of the post? I wasn't sure how to do it. Those pictures are adorable. We started David on solids now he'll be on a week. My pediatrician said we could start at 5 months. We started the cereal a little earlier but started the baby food after 5 months.
Sandy - To get the pictures in your post without an attachment, simply upload them to a place like Photobucket.com and then insert the HTML here (but you must click the 'Use your own HTML tags' button while typing your message). Hopefully that all makes sense!
Ella - I check your blog periodically and I loved the pics of Eliza sitting in your kitchen sink - too cute! She is so photogenic!
Here are some recent pics of Selin and two short videos I took with my phone. This is my first time attaching videos so hopefully they work!
Cassie - Simon is such a little cutie. Great pic of him!
Christine - thanks for posting the videos, I love videos :) Selin is already so smiley! I love that stage when they first smile, it is so precious! What an adorable girl - I love her complexion, too. Poor Eliza is destined to be paler than pale, just like her mama.
Ella--Eliza is so adorable! I keep thinking about how a year from now, my baby will be her age, and it seems so surreal!
Cassie--Simon is adorable in that hat!
Christine--Selin has already changed SO much from your siggy picture! The videos are adorable--she is so expressive already! (I WANT ONE! ::Patience, Adrienne::)
Ella - Selin has been smiley since she was around 6 weeks old. We call her our little flirt because sometimes she'll smile up at me while she's nursing. It just melts my heart. DH and I both have olive complexions so it looks like Selin will

Christine, isn't she just adorable! What a pretty little girl. I loved the videos!
Ella, LOL about "paler than pale" - I share your fate! It looks gorgeous on Eliza though with her strawberry blonde hair :-)
AFM I've been really slacking lately and not uploaded any photos to a computer. Must do that soon!

YES, you should, Anna! I'd love to see recent pics of Teddy! =)
Thanks everyone for the compliments!
