I forgot to add to this chat, I added to pregnancy chat. Our friends from church brought their little girl home today from the hospital. Here is a note from the mom that I saw on her facebook page yesterday:

Praise God! Brenna is going home tomorrow! Jesus said, "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you" John 15:7 Thanks to all the prayer warriors for fervent prayer, love and support over these past 2 weeks. Brenna is truly a miracle, we are so blessed to be chosen as her parents and thankful to be taking her home.

Hey ladies, glad to see you are all still around after the change. I found that if I try to login wiht my email it doesn't work but if I use my username I can get in. so strange

Christine & Sandy - Praying for both those familys! Keeping them in my thoughts.
Mari - So awesome that Fede is PT'd. We are starting with Gabby.
Andi - awesome about the girls walking. I hope work slows a little for you.

AFM - It's been crazy. Work is thankfully slowing down since I am going on maternity leave in 2.5 or 3 weeks! EEK Crazy that our baby girl will be here that soon. I swear I don't know where time goes anymore.  I am just getting things ready at work so when I leave my team can still function and do the things I did while I am gone. It won't be that long unfortuntely I will be back to work after the 1st of year, but since I work from home I will still get to see her every day and nurse her when she is here if I don't have meetings. So I am definitely going to have to kick it in gear a few weeks after having her and start pumping.

WE are still dealing with our remodel and to keep it short, looks like we are going to ahve to sue them or something and take them to court. So next Wednesday If they aren't done (Which I know they won't be) I will be calling a lawyer. We have 2 liens on our house right now for 20K. so it's a pretty big mess. But I will leave it at that.

Like I mentioned above we are starting to PT Gabby. Yesterday at daycare she went on the potty 3 times and had dry diapers all those times. the only time she had to have her diaper changed was when she had a BM. When we got home from Trick or Treating at the grocery store and started eating dinner I told her if she needed to go potty to let me know. about 10 or 15 minutes later she said she needed to go potty so we took her in there and she went. We tried again before bedtime. She went 5 times on the Potty and  only had 2 diaper changes...so we are just taking her lead. I am not ready to do a weekend of no diapers since the baby is coming but I think she will be ready soon enough. She is moving up to the 2nd Early Preschool room in January (I just found out) and then they will work more on the PT there. She is getting so big!!

Hope everyone else is doing great.

Mari- Congrats about potty training. It is such a big step for them. I remember when David was first potty trained. Now it seems like he's been potty trained forever and now we are almost totally at night with an accident here and there but I know that will happen. He stays dry through his naps too which is great I got rid of all of our pull ups and the ones that were open I just saved for our next one.  Now I just need to buy diapers for our next one and not worry about pull ups for him. I just hope he doesn't regress after the baby which I heard can happen.

My dad came this weekend and had a wonderful time with David. it's always too bad the visits are so short. He hadn't seen David since July so it was nice to have him here. We aren't sure if we are going home for Thanksgiving since I will have a new job and not sure about DH but we'll see what happens. We usually celebrate David's bday at Thanksgiving with the family since they can't be here for his real birthday.

Anyway I am adding a picture of David and my dad playing football.

Mari - That is AWESOME about PTing!!! Selin is pretty much potty trained now but still wears a pullup at naptime and bedtime just in case but it is so amazing to actually be able to go places and not have to worry about her having an accident! My DH still keeps her in pullups sometimes because well he's just lazy and doesn't want to have to deal with an accident but she has come a long way since summertime.

Erica - Sounds like you had a wonderful time with your ILs! I didn't know you were teaching this semester - good luck! I don't know how you do it all. ;-)

Andi - Congrats on the promotion!! And I love the walking pics of the girls on your blog - too cute! I plan to POAS sometime this weekend if AF doesn't show. :-)

I'm here! I tend to be pretty flexible about these board changes, but hopefully they'll get the glitches worked out pretty quickly.

Christine and Sandy - wow, scary situations with these families you both know and their babies. P&PT for them.

Christine - good luck this 2WW! When will you POAS?!

Mari - potty trained, WOOHOO! Nice job, go Fede!! How's Julia doing?

Erica - good to hear you're feeling a bit better... having a lot of clutter can bring ya down. We recently moved our home office around and I got some more organizational stuff (baskets and folders) and I feel a lot better.

Hi to everyone else! I hope everyone will be able to post replies soon.

Things here are going well. Work has continued to be insane. I asked for a promotion and it looks like I'm going to get it, which YAY and all, but also dangit! I'm going to have a lot more work to do. Mo' money, mo' problems. ;) The girls are BOTH walking now. It's funny how different they are... Juliette is still very cautious and after she falls she takes a long time before she wants to walk again. Elia just launches herself out into the blue and laughs all the way down when she falls. She dusts herself off and gets right back on the horse so to speak. Technically, Juliette is much better at balancing, but she lacks the confidence Elia has. Aside from some molars they both have coming through, it's been a really fun stage with them lately.

Yay!!!!  I'm in!!!  I've been gone for about a week, and I've missed you all so much.  We had company for the last week, and when I did have a few minutes to log in, the weirdness of the new boards scared me away.  I just planned to figure it out when I had more time, and here I am!

We had a wonderful week with Cory's parents.  We went to Sea World on Wednesday, and today we went to an Octoberfest in town.  It was really great this year!  Lots of people, food, music, cool stuff for sale, and plenty of sunshine.  The kids' 4-H group helped with the petting zoo, so we worked in there for about 45 minutes.

We've been having hot weather almost non-stop, and today was glorious in the low 80s.  We actually have all of our windows and doors open right now, and there is a lovely breeze.

I have been really down for the last month or so, and I know it stems from having a messy house and being busy figuring out my new job teaching online.  This week was such a refreshment with my in-laws here to help with the kids and the house.  I'm feeling so much better with a tidy house.  My first online class is wrapping up tomorrow (then grades), and I have two more starting on Monday.  I feel more prepared this time.  Cory and I had a quick little date on Friday, and it was nice to talk and enjoy a really wonderful meal -- with dessert.  In truth, we took Charlotte, but she slept in her carseat, so I think it totally counts as a date. Smile

The kids are great.  We had a great homeschool week (partly because having Grandma and Papa here kept me from slacking off).  Fletcher had his first choir performance last Sunday, and they were awesome!  REALLY.  I was so impressed.  Jonah's preschool class had "Miss Spider's Tea Party" on Thursday.  The teacher dressed as Miss Spider, and the kids made bug hats.  They had a parade around the courtyard, and Jonah was thrilled to have his grandparents there to see.

Well, that's about it, folks.  Hope to see a bug-free board soon!

Wow, Mari! That is wonderful!!  Congrats :)  It is an exciting and welcome milestone, isn't it?!  I think it's true that they will get there when they are ready and that it is much harder if you push them before they are ready.  We did the cold turkey method with Eliza (just saying bye-bye to diapers and never going back, dealing with the accidents as they came, etc.) and it really worked well for her, too.

Yay Fede!!

Hey girls!! This is annoying! I think it's even worse than the last "change" they did... but please,,, let us keep coming here! And if not, the FB group sounds interesting... how would that work?

Oh, and also... how do you fix your siggy, I tried but couldn't paste the code.

Anyways,

Christine- Good luck on the 2WW... I hope this is it! And I'll keep that baby on my prayers!

Sandy- The job sounds interesting. KUP! And I'll also be praying for your friend's child.

Ella- Hi!!

AFM- I am soooooo happy, because (drums please)....

FEDE IS POTTY TRAINED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG! This has been my favorite milestone so far! LOL!

It litereally took me two days, last weekend. Saturday morning I decided I was absolutely done with diapers and took it off for good (we had been taking it off for a few hours some days in the last month). So that day he peed on himself a couple of times, but by that afternoon he was using the potty, and Sunday morning he just went there by himself without us asking. And I mean both #1 and #2!!

So I guess it was true what they say that if you wait until they were ready it happens quickly!

Christine- I've never used email notifications but I usually access from my phone and right now we can only see the first post in a thread on phones and that's it. It's killing me I can't see anything on my phone. I access on my phone way more than on the computer.

Anyway our friend from church their baby is making progress. She actually opened her eyes the other day and was cooing. Granted she did have another seizure. They still aren't sure how much brain damage she suffered and what caused all of this. She was a full term baby and all her scores were fine but several days after they took her home she just started to have seizures. So hopefully she makes a full recovery and is able to have a normal life.

My dad is coming to visit this weekend which is nice since we haven't seen him since we were in Ohio back in July. We don't know if we'll be able to go home at all for the holidays this year with our job situations and if we do have jobs neither of us will have any vacation yet so we'll just have to use what days off we get around the holidays. I did have a job interview for a dental front office job. It requires some travel and late hours but the pay is so good we'd find a sitter to pick him up from his regular daycare if we were both working. I'm hoping I get called back for a second interview.
