The AAP has issued new guidelines for introducting allergens to your baby, even as young as 4 to 6 months. You can read more about it at this link:
The AAP has been recommending this for several years, but many parents and pediatricians are still following older guidelines of waiting on certain foods. They have found that using this practice does not help prevent allergies, introducing them earlier could actually help.
What age did you start solids? Did you wait to feed them allergies such as eggs, dairy or peanuts?
