What are you looking forward to for November Getting to see my husband! We have not seen daddy since the beginning of Aug when he moved us here then had to go back.
Katie--I have no idea how many kids I want. The "plan" right now is to have another one fairly soon, and then wait several years and have another set. That set may be adopted. Or not. Who knows. Right now, we aren't using any type of birth control. We're just leaving everything up to chance.
Z will be fine if you ever need to leave him. Just make sure it's with someone he's familiar with. After 4 Sundays, Peter finally didn't scream the whole time he was in the church nursery--well, he wasn't inconsolable, and they didn't have to call me to come get him. Progress!
Jessica - Gabby's talking must be so cute. I love that stage. Sarah - Sully is a busy guy! Standing at seven months! Liz - I also really want to adopt some day. I've had this desire since I was a kid. We aren't sure when or by what means yet. Alyssa - Evan's pouncing sounds really cute! Andi - I love thinking of your little girls making each other laugh. The benefit of having a twin! My sister and I loved the Pippi Longstocking movie when we were kids. Sandy - hope you are feeling better soon! Katie - My kids have all been small babies at Thanksgiving, and my dad always tries to feed them mashed potatoes! He's just joking because he knows that I am totally obsessed with the "right way" to feed babies. Katie - I know what you mean about leaving Z. I've been away from Charlotte only three times. Cory took her to WalMart twice for less than 30 minutes, and I got a haircut and highlights in September which took about an hour and a half. I don't want to leave her, but at the same time, I'm kind of craving a momma-only outing. Cassie - I'm so happy that you will get to see Matt soon. You must be so excited!
AFM -- Still figuring out the sleep thing with Jonah. We've decided to night-wean him. Last night was the first night, and it worked out okay. I really hope things settle down when we are in our new house. Fletcher is doing great. He loves school. Cory and I are still a bit concerned about his grades, but his attitude is fantastic! Charlotte is rolling and babbling and grabbing like crazy. She is still such a tiny peanut, but she is making plenty of wet and dirty diapers, so I'm trying not to obsess about my supply and her nursing patterns. Just praying for a good check-up at the ped. next week.
Jess – that is so cute about Gabby talking…and about your nickname! LOL!
Sarah – Sully is on his way to being the next Usain Bolt or something with those skills!
Liz – It’s so amazing how much Peter has learned just by being around older kids! And SO funny about the mooing! Good luck with the kitchen renos.
Andi – OMG, that is WAY too cute about them making each other giggle! That must just melt your heart.
Sandy – Sorry that David seems to be in the terrible 2s ☹ Hopefully it won’t last long! Sounds like your back-up sitter is really good, so it would be great if you could move David over to her!
Katie – That’s so sweet about Z wanting to be around you all the time! It’s a good feeling to be needed. He will do fine if you leave him with someone else. I was so worried about leaving Evan at daycare, and sometimes I think he likes it better there than at home! LOL!
Cassie – Yay for seeing Matt soon!!!! So glad Simon has stopped crying/screaming when you leave him at daycare…that can be tough!
Erica – It’s amazing how fast they can learn things, right? That’s so great the boys are excited about it. And very cool about the black belt!
AFM – Evan had his 12-month check-up yesterday, and everything is great! His weight percentile went up from 22% to 32% (yay!), and his height is still 95%! My tall & thin boy. With the size of his giant head, no wonder he isn’t walking yet! LOL!
Thanks everyone.. sadly there is no one he is familiar with.. He has seen someone the most amount of times 5 or 6 times? I would like a little me time so we will see.
Name/SO Name Morgan/AJ Little Ones/Ages Halley/7 Max/4 months What are you looking forward to for November getting together with family for Thanksgiving, putting up the Christmas tree at the end of the month! Milestones/Story about your LO's he rolls both ways now and can scoot forward a bit when he wants to. He also discovered his feet last weekend and can sit unsupported for a few minutes as long as he doesn't feel like chewing on his hands. He has started grabbing toys, hair, eyeglasses, water glasses (lol). Also, he now actually seems to enjoy when we read books and we can read slightly longer ones without him getting cranky. Oh, and he smiles more than ever and laughs! I love his laugh! Fun Fact about yourself In high school I was in choir,
Name/SO Name: Mari/Mati Little One's/Ages: Fede, 22 1/2 months What are you looking forward to for November: My birthday, Dh's birthday, my cousin's wedding and related to that, some of my relatives coming from Italy. Oh!!! And the 22 week ultrasound (and hopefully I'll know the baby's gender) Milestones/Story about your LO's: He is babbling like crazy, it's really his own little language, and it's incredibly cute to hear him "talking" so much. He is incredibly interested on everything, but specially, machines and animals. Fun Fact about yourself: Most people are really surprised when they find out I was really into rock (specially Metallica and Guns 'n Roses) while in college. I still like it, but now my tastes are wider. I suppose that since I also like really feminine stuff, I don't fit into the stereotype.
Name/SO Name: Elyse/Nick Little One's/Ages: William, 2 yrs What are you looking forward to for November: Turkey Day and the family gatherings!! We are also starting TTC which just seems so strange since we didn't really try for William. Milestones/Story about your LO's: William LOVES Thomas the Tank Engine. He knows all of the different trains which is hysterical when I try to tell him the wrong name. He looks at me and says, "No Mama, not (insert train), That's (insert train)." He will spend a large amount of time playing with the trains and making them talk. He has quite the imagination. Fun Fact about yourself: I was the youngest graduating senior in both my HS and college that year.
