Oh, Cassie. You are in a tough position. I'm sorry. I can only imagine how much you miss your husband. I hope your time apart goes quickly!

Katie - I'm glad Zaydren's appointment went well. Wow...he weighs more than my boys did at one year! It is so interesting how different every kid is. You are raising a healthy, strong boy!

Brita - Good to hear from you. Congrats to Barrett on being dry during the day. That's a great step.

Christine - Selin sounds so cute! I can just imagine her singing the ABC song at top volume.

Morgan - Max is growing up! Doesn't it go terribly fast. Charlotte isn't sitting yet, but she is definitely grabby grabby!!

Kate - Poor Teddy. I hope he is feeling better. Pneumonia is nothing to mess with.

AFM - Not a great week. Fletcher's grades are not improving, and we are trying to set up an appointment with his new reading and math teacher to try to make a plan for helping him. We are baffled. His grades are a mix of A's and U's. Not sure what to make of it. On Friday, I rear-ended another car at a traffic light. No one was hurt, and I was almost at a stop when we collided so there wasn't much damage. The guy came to an absolute stop at a yellow light, and I just was not ready for it. I feel terrible!

Charlotte has a horrible cold, and she's been sleeping badly because of it. She does seem better today though.

The house buying process feels painfully slow. I'm still hoping to get in our new house by Thanksgiving.

Sorry to be such a downer today. I'm hoping to start this new week out on a better note.

Little One's/Ages: Eliza, who turns two in 8 days!

What are you looking forward to for November: Eliza's birthday party, and Thanksgiving.

Milestones/Story about your LO's: Eliza is talking in full sentences now and there is pretty much nothing she can't say, it is amazing! Funny story - we've been telling her that we're going to Seattle (we're there now) and we've been telling her "you're going to Seattle and you're going to see auntie, uncle, [etc, naming all the family she's going to see]" and the day before we left my dad asked her "Eliza, who are you going to see tomorrow?" and she said: "attle!". (GET IT??? HAHA). She doesn't even realize her own humor.

Fun Fact about yourself: um, I'm a classical violinist! But I haven't practiced in a while... I wonder why...

So AF finally showed on Friday - but now she's totally gone again...lasted only 2 days??? Was really light, too, with ZERO cramping (not that I'm complaining!). Anyone else have this experience with their first PP AF?

Ella,

My AF's now are really short. Two very heavy days and maybe one light day and then its gone. Could be breakthrough spotting or something and AF may show up for real again.

Little One's/Ages: Maxim 18 months

What are you looking forward to for November: My parents are coming to visit in 2 weeks...putting up my Christmas decor, starting shopping for the holidays

Milestones/Story about your LO's: Maxim isnt talking much yet, at least nothing we can make out. He's stacking, sorting, building and can identify where shapes go on his puzzle. He's starting some pretend play but still very busy boy. He's doing really well. Starting to tantrum a bit when he doesnt get his way. I'm going to have a drama queen on my hands, I'm sure he'll be a body thrower based on what hes doing right now.

Fun Fact about yourself: I was in a marching band in university

Cassie - I am so sorry you are having to go through all that!! HUGS!

Ella - If I remember correctly my first AF PP was a few days but it was more than 2. Do you think it could be implantation spotting? I know you haven't had AF yet, but I wasn't sure what type (if any) of BC that you guys were using.

I have read all the posts, but I can't remember what I was going to write. sorry ladies! Waving hi to everyone.

AFM - DH has been gone deer hunting this weekend but Gabby and I have had a great time. We had a baby shower yesterday for my cousin who is due in December (but the baby will probably be taken early, she is a high risk pregnancy and has diabetes, high blood pressure and tons of fluid). We also had swimming lessons (just started yesterday) and she really liked it, so I am excited to see her go every week. We also visited my grandpa. I actually have been putting it off and haven't seen him since August. I just hate going to nursing homes, when I was younger we had to go every sunday to see my dad's parents and I just got to watch them waste away and honestly I just don't want to see him like that. but he really enjoys Gabby, so I went and I just need to go more often. After a little awhile she even reached up to him for him to hold her and gave him a few hugs. I was so happy at that, he just gets a big smile on his face!

Cassie- I am so sorry you are feeling this way. I can't imagine being away from my DH for that long. I mean we had some times when we were in college on summer breaks and then my last semester I did an internship at home and he was away but they were pretty short lived but since we've been married we've never been away except for a few business trips he's had.

Thanks ladies for all your thoughts and comments. I was having a little pitty party the other night. Sometimes I have a hard time dealing with the unfairness of life. If that makes sence. Matt and I have done things in a way that we were taught was the way to do them and I see people who are younger or other things that have so much more and are leaps and bounds ahead of us in major life things and it makes me mad. Silly in a way. Then being apart just stinks cause the longer I live with my cousin the more I learn about him and the less I respect him. Which is sad.

Jess - Huh, it never occurred to me to think about possible pgcy... I think it's unlikely, but I suppose always a possibility. We've been lazy about BC lately - I was using VCF up until recently. But this was def more than spotting, so idk. I could POAS to be sure when I get home.

That's so fun that Gabby is understanding so much now - isn't it amazing when that happens? Such a fun stage. And it sounds like she's really eating a ton lately - growth spurt? Oh and I know exactly what you mean about nursing homes...

Cassie - sorry you are not liking living with your cousin. Family can be tough to live with sometimes, esp if you aren't close enough to actually "fight" - or, at least bring up issues and work them out together... like if you're just tip-toeing around the person it can be awkward. I hope the time you have left without DH goes by quickly for you so you can find your own place. How are you liking your job?
