Jess - Sorry again about AF. You'll catch that egg when it's meant to be. (((HUGS)))

AFM - Argh! My baby fever just keeps going up and up!!

I just found out that one of my LLL friends is expecting her 4th kid in the spring. 4th!! I tutored her son over the summer and she has boy/girl twins that are just a month older than Selin. She's a SAHM with a super supportive DH and her mom also lives with them. Sometimes I wish I had her life. ;-)

Jess - I would do the same thing re: not stopping TTC for other people's wedding plans. Babies will come when they darn well please, and there's not THAT much we can do to alter their plans ;) Sorry no BFP this cycle, that sucks :(

Erica - way to go Charlotte! Sounds like she is doing well, even if she is on the small side!

Katie - wow, Z is amazingly strong and advanced for only 4 months old! I wonder if he'll be really athletic?? 4 months seems so young and teeny tiny to me, but Z makes 4 months look more like 7 months! Congrats to your DS for getting his pilot's license - what an accomplishment!

AFM - It's Eliza's birthday today and we celebrated by going to an indoor amusement park. It was Eliza's first time going on rides and she LOVED them! We rode a little train, a tot roller coaster (that went pretty fast, actually!), and a flying balloon ride. My mom came with us and we spent about 3 hours there walking around and then went shopping together. My mom bought Eliza the CUTEST Christmas dress from Hanna Andersson. It's this one: but the website photo doesn't do it justice, it is just adorable! I can't wait for her to wear it :) Then we went out with the whole fam for dinner at our favorite Pho restaurant. My brother was feeding Eliza M&Ms under the table, which was both really cute and sort of annoying because it totally ruined her appetite for dinner (lol, wow I am so a mom), but it's her birthday, and my brother likes to be the "fun" uncle who always has candy, so who am I to stand in the way of that? Lol. We just had a really nice day and I'm so proud of my big 2 year old girl!

In other news, it seems that we are NPP from here on out. DH is anxious to have another baby, and I just can't come up with a good enough reason to stop it from happening (i.e. using bc) if it's meant to... esp not after all we went through to get Eliza. So, we'll see what the next few months bring!

Christine - I KWYM about baby fever! I'm just barely starting to get it - definitely starting to get jealous at pg women I see... so I figure the actual BABY jealousy will follow shortly.

And holy wow - her fourth!? I suppose if I have a live-in grandma/babysitter, I'd do the same thing ;)

Ella - Happy 2nd bday Eliza! Sounds like you guys had a wonderful day and that HA dress is going to look adorable on her! I love their clothes. And yay for NPP!! How exciting!! Will this impact your school plans or will you be done by the time baby would arrive?

Katie - That is so cool that you got an invitation to the WH!! Are you going with a group?? As for TTC, the earliest we could start is March since I don't want to miss the beginning of the next school year. DH has some financial worries and we're trying to figure out how we can afford me for to stay home with both kids. I really really don't want two kids in daycare. I handle the dropoff/pickup 99% of the time and really don't want to do that with two. Also I just don't think it's worth it to work just to stick two kids in daycare, esp on a teacher's salary.

Another AFM...

Can't remember if I posted this already so please forgive me if I did. I signed up to take my LAST class for my masters in the spring and if all goes well, I'll be graduating on May 4th, 2012!!! I have to take the class on campus as its not offered online this semester but I've heard good things about the teacher do I'm hopeful. Only downside is that it's the same day we have our weekly staff mtg after school so it only leaves me one hour to pickup Selin, eat dinner and get ready for school. Never fails that everything has to fall on one day. Regardless, I'm SO excited that I'm finally going to graduate! A program that was supposed to take 15 mos FT took me almost 4 years (by the time I'll graduate) due to all the stops and starts.

Happy Birthday Eliza!

Christine- I second you and two kids in daycare but unfortunately we cannot afford for me to work even after we pay off our credit card debt. The only way is if my DH gets a raise which I know is not happening as the TV business isn't doing well. I think he's realized he needs to find another job but he doesn't really know where to start. There are jobs in what he does unlike some other occupations right now but we'll see what happens. If it wasn't for DH's student loan, I could stay at home but for the time being I'll be still working when #2 arrives unless things drastically change financially for us. However we have some time before we even TTC so it could happen. I keep praying it does. Of course my insurance benefits pay for itself and me working. Plus, going to a home daycare we don't pay nowhere as much as if he went to a daycare center so it is still worth working even when we have 2.

David got his new bedroom set and his bed on Friday. The mattress will be here tomorrow. For now we're using his toddler mattress with a bunch of pillows to fill in the spaces. Hopefully he'll do OK with his new bed. He finally got good sleeping in his toddler bed. Last night he was up a bunch but I don't know if it was the bed as he slept in it the night before perfectly. Then he was up early. Maybe he just wasn't tired for some reason yesterday.

Ella: Happy Birthday Eliza. And I like that dress we looked at it for Eloise. I think my Mom order her this one though: which I love, and is so Eloise. And yay for maybe having a second soon.

Katie: If you are in the DC area let me know if you have free time, since we can meet up somewhere, I live outside the city.

Christine: Yay for finishing your Masters soon. I hope you and DH can figure it out so you can stay home. It would actually cost us money if I worked and sent the kids to daycare.

Daycares around here are expensive. Even at a $60k a year job I would not be making anything, and I don't think I could get a job paying that much at the moment. I checked at one point in time and it would be almost $1000 a week to send all three of mine to the daycare where they go to preschool, and most centers are the same or more around here.

Sandy: Hooray on a new bedroom set for David. Hopefully the first night was just an abnormality.

AFM: Sully is standing without support. He stood for a minute last night holding onto nothing! I am really not ready for that, can't my baby stay a baby a little longer?

Eloise went to a tea party with my in-laws on Sunday and had lots of fun and was the hit of the party. Desmond is doing great, though I did want to sell him and Eloise yesterday afternoon when they were both being grumps.

Both Eloise and Desmond have their Thanksgiving Feasts at preschool this week, and on Saturday we start our trip down to Atlanta for Thanksgiving. We're driving 2 days and have a hotel reserved in NC, since last time we drove there were no hotels with vacancies and we ended up getting lucky with one hotel, 3 hours after we wanted to stop for the night. I am happy that we rented a minivan this time for the drive, it will be much nicer then the full sized car we had last time.

Other then that not much else is going on here.

Thank you for the sig Mary

Ella - OMG I've so been waiting for this - congrats on the decision to NPP! Eliza will make a great big sister, I'm sure.
Kate - menopause? Surely that can't be it? And happy 9 months, Theodore! My Teddy will be 2 years, 9 months next week :)
Christine - yay for having an end in sight for your degree!
Hi to everyone else ... I'm still reading but mostly lurking. My boys are doing well, apart from both having a cold at the moment (and me, too!). Bo has just cut his first tooth which means his sleeping has gone down the drain again ;) He's still not rolling much or doing anything other than circling on his belly and scooting backwards. But he's very good at being stationary :) He sits, like, indefinitely without toppling, and stands for a few minutes if he's got something to hold onto for balance. He is so different from Teddy at that age who would not stop moving and was already crawling. In a way I think this can only be a good thing as Teddy still won't stop moving - he's like a dog, he needs two good walks a day!

I can't remember the last time I posted, so I'm just doing personals from Sunday. Sorry to anyone I miss. :)

Andi--I'm so glad you found a nanny that sounds so perfect! Lots of prayers for your uncle and your family.

Katie--Z continues to amaze me with how big and strong he is! Just curious: what size shoe does he wear now?

Erica--Charlotte is bigger than Peter was a 4 months, if that eases your mind any. Boo for having to find a new pedi!

Jess--So sorry about the BFP. And yuck on the stalled reno. I feel for you.

Christine--Ugh on baby fever. I'm praying time flies for you, so it'll be your turn to TTC.

Ella--Happy belated birthday to Eliza! It seems like yesterday you were posting her birth story!

Sandy--good luck with the sleep stuff.

Sarah--How is it possible that Sully is already standing? Wasn't he just born???

Kate--BOO for AF. :(

Anna--I laughed about Teddy needing two walks a day. Peter's the same way!

AFM--Peter learned to say "No" this weekend. I told him he couldn't go up the front steps on the house next door, and he looked at me, shook his finger, and said "no, no, no." I'm guessing he learned it at daycare. So far, it's funny, only because he always shakes his finger at me when he says it.

He's also working on cutting molars. One is through, and I'm guessing another is close due to the fussiness last night. He's blowing us kisses when we ask, and going to the back door when I tell him it's time to leave in the mornings. This age is so much fun!
