Hey ladies... I was wondering... How soon should I start doing Kegels again?

ASAP? I don't think you can do any damage doing Kegels; and they help getting everything back in shape.

Yep...you can start immediately. My birth books even suggested doing them in the hospital after birth. I didn't feel like I was actually doing them correctly in the first days after birth, but shortly after I could do them.

I hope your recovery is going well, Mari!

It is going really well! The epi healed really fast, and it doesn't bother me at all, I've also had no problems with BM, which is a nice surprise, since last time I had pain and hemorrhoids for at least 4 months. My only complain are the lochia (sp?)... I'm almost sure that last time it lasted only 3 weeks, but I still have some discharge... only a little, but enough to still need to use a pantyliner or something.

Great to hear a post-partum update from you Mari! I've been thinking of you! ;-)

Btw, how did your thyroid test go this week??

I remember being terrified to go #2 after delivery but it was easier than I feared. I think I had lochia for a good month or so afterwards though so what you're experiencing sounds totally normal to me.

I've been having a lot of incontinence issues lately, leakage and urgency,
