Potty training advice

So one of my goals for this summer while I'm home is to try to PT Selin. We've had some success this week.
When we're home (except for sleeping times), I've been letting her go naked on the bottom (because she was telling me right after she peed in her underwear that she had to go) and doing it that way, so far she's been able to recognize when she has to go and let me know so we can get to the potty in time. I'm thinking about buying a potty chair for our kitchen since our only bathroom is on the other side of the house.
Couple of questions for the BTDTs:
What did you use when out in public? Did you bring your own seat from home, just hold them over the seat, etc? I'm sure this is still awhile off for us, but just thinking ahead.
Should I have her sitter do PTing as well? She has sat on the potty chair there a few times but I don't think she actually did anything on it, it was more because another girl who is PTing is sitting on it. I don't feel comfortable with her running around naked there as she has pre-teen children of her own (a boy and a girl).
What about long car rides?
Lastly, those of you who did the "run naked" method, what's the next step?

I'm kind of potty training Fede at the moment. He's gone from "ho way I am peeing on that (the potty)" and "I love my diapers", to cautiosly sitting on the potty and loving his new undies.
The problem is that we have this long trip next week to my cousin's wedding. It will be several hours, and I'm really worried that even if I manage to potty train him, he won't be able to hold it between stops and have accidents inside the car. (we intend to stop every 1 1/2 hours).
So if I can do it and PT him b efore that, do you think it will be too much of a set b ack to put diapers on him while on the car?
