Hi girls,
Just really stopped by to say hello! I'm still lurking here and mostly reading, but ever since Bo arrived I find it quite difficult to get the computer out so I'm just mostly on my phone. I'm still posting here and there but it's almost impossible for me to keep up with a fast thread like this.
Thankfully I'm friends with many of you on FB so I still get to see what's going on :)
The boys are doing well - Teddy just had chicken pox which was quite hard for him, but it was over within a week. So far, Bo hasn't caught it, phew!
Bo is growing like crazy, he was 17lbs 7oz at exactly 3 months. Breastfeeding is really working without a hitch this time! He is quite a laid back and happy little soul. The boys adore each other which of course pleases me greatly - it's so cool that Teddy already wants to play with Bo all the time, even though Bo's contributions aren't much yet!
Anyway, just wanted to let y'all know I'm still around and reading :)

P.s. Sarah, I'm loving the Star Wars theme for Halloween, can't wait to see pics!

Amy- I think when they are little we might put David in the other bedroom just so the baby doesn't wake him up constantly. He's not the best sleeper and I would be afraid that

Jess - that is so great about Gabby sleeping, walking, and just becoming her own person. Also, congrats on the new job! It sounds great, especially that you will be able to work from home a lot more.

Anna - nice to see you! Sorry about Teddy getting the chicken pox :( Do you know where he got it from? That's good that Bo didn't get them. And holy, Bo is a big boy! Evan is only a couple pounds heavier, and he's 11 months old!

*waving hi to everyone else - this thread is so hard to keep up with!*

AFM - Evan is teething like crazy right now. We can see at least two coming in (top front), and he might have others. He's been vomiting and having very loose stools, and we think it's because of the teething. Does anyone else have babies that do this? Is there anything we can do to make it a bit easier on him? It actually doesn't seem to bother him much, but I'm worried he'll get dehydrated.

I can't remember who said it, but every time Evan gets sick, so do I. It is not fun! I feel like I'm either taking care of a sick baby or a sick me, and we just alternate. Sigh. It would be nice to just have a healthy home for a while!

Alyssa, diarrhoea is common with teething - it's the excess saliva going through the body and "watering down" the poo. I've not heard about vomiting in relation to teething though, so I'd keep an eye on it - might be something else!
Teddy got the CP from nursery (daycare) - apparently half his room had it! Children are not vaccinated against CP here so they are bound to get it at some point. And yes, Bo is a Biggie just like Teddy was ;) I expect him to hit the 20 pound mark before he's 5 months...

Wowsa, so first of all, let me say major props to Katie because my DH was out of town all last week for work and I thought I'd claw off my own face by the end of it all - single mommas rock, I have no idea how you do it on your own! And now, let me try to catch up...

Andi- The game is this weekend. And the Colts fans are the nicest in football or so I have been told. I mean people may say something to you but they aren't like other fans if you wear the opposiing uniform. I heard it is one of the most family friendly football stadiums. I wouldn't feel bad about taking David when he's older. Now, Cleveland on the other hand I would not. They can get quite roudy there even though they supposedly have a family friendly section.

Now if you went to Cleveland with a Pittsburgh jersey or vice versa then you might get yourself shot. But in Indianapolis I'm not too worried about it.

Also I have been there being on my own. Of course I do not have twins and I admire you did it with twins. He went on a business trip to Texas 3 weeks after David was born. He was starting to get colicky and I thought I was going to pull my hair out. I spent many nights on the phone with him crying as David would not stop crying. And I have no family in town and they were all sick with colds anyway. So, I also do admire you single moms. It's a tough job with two parents let alone one.

Em - Let me know how you like the recipe! My daughter's name is Turkish (my DH is Turkish) and pronounced in English like "Celine". In Turkish, the "se" is more ephasized than the "lin", if that makes any sense. :-)

AFM - I'm having the week from h**l and on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Over the weekend, Selin got another red MRSA bump but thankfully, it looks like it's getting better and not turning into another abscess. But as a courtesy, I emailed my sitter/friend on Sunday to let her know and that I was putting ointment on it and doing the bleach baths, etc. Then all hell broke loose.

Apparently, we were both misinformed: she didn't no Selin's MRSA was an ongoing thing and I didn't know that she is on medication that suppresses her immune system and since she is still nursing, her son has the same issue. So MRSA could be very deadly for them. She said if they didn't have the immune system issue then she would have no problem with it but since that is not the case, I would have to find someone else to care for her. I

Oh Christine--
That's absolutely terrible. I'm so sorry you're having to go through so much to find a sitter last minute, and that it looks like the MRSA is back. (((Hugs)))

Christine, oh what a day! I hope you guys are able to find someone to watch Selin ASAP! That would be stresful. My folks are out of town all week and I cross my fingers Simon doesn't get sick this week.
