Strangers Touching Your Baby?

Have you ever had someone come up and try to touch your baby's face or hands?

I know it's something that really bothered me especially if I didn't know them.

I terrible about this - I always request that people never touch my babies faces or hands. It has put some people off, but I really don't care. Since I use a sling or a carrier so much, it's not a tremendous issue. When I can't catch someone before hand (like a little kid, typically) I make sure to wipe baby's hands and face with a wipe asap.

I'm pretty much the opposite of Jules :D I never cared about people washing hands before touching the baby and didn't care where they touched him. We also don't use stuff like hand sanitizer and for the most part I think the more germs the better (normal germs and of course we always wash hands after using the restroom).

I also didn't mind having people touching my stomach, but people always asked first (even strangers) and seemed to take so much pleasure from it that I thought it was cute.

The problem for me is rarely complete strangers...it's church people! I love these people, but I get so nervous and annoyed when they scoop up my baby and parade her around. I haven't figured out a great way to handle this. I want the church to embrace our family, but I'm just not comfortable.

I'm like Ash, it never bothered me but it didnt happen that frequently either.

I´ve always hated it.... As much as I hated people touching my belly... Like the others, I have no solutions, if the person touched/kissed his hands or face I would try to (discreetly) wipe his hands later. I suppose Ash's comment about "more germs the better" is the truth, but I just can't handle it!
