Kids Names and Ages: ***James- 13 months

Are you also:

PG? ***Yes- 14 weeks today!

Give us an update on each kid!!
***James is doing great, he's learning all kinds of new words and skills. We have him on iron supplements for anemia, and so far he has still not gained any weight, but I'm hoping soon. He's still not 100% weaned, we nurse once a day in the morning, but I skipped it today and he didn't seem very upset at all, so maybe we're going to cut that out soon too, I'm so torn about it.

Give us an update on you (and DH)!
***I'm doing good, I finally seem to be out of the woods as far as m/s goes. I'm looking forward to finding out the sex of the baby in a couple months. I think logically I want a boy because we already have all the stuff and it would be nice for James etc., but I probably will be a little disappointed if it's a boy just because in my mind I've been thinking about it like it's a girl. Either way I know it won't take long for me to get excited whichever it is.

I'm also going in for outpatient surgery next week to have a breast lump removed. They're fairly certain it's nothing, but it's been bothering me for a couple years now, so we're just going to take it out and have it over with. A part of me wonders if I should try to wean James before next week to reduce the risk of milk leaking out of the incision or whatever (something the dr. was a little concerned about). But then again, I don't even know if I have much milk at this point, and weaning him might have the opposite effect early on making me get engorged, so IDK. I'm torn. I'm skipping nursing today and I'll see how much is there tomorrow morning, that should give me an idea how much milk is being produced anyway...

How are all the other toddlers doing??

DH Name: Dan

Kids Names and Ages: Desmond 3, Eloise 15 months

Are you also:

PG? nope

TTCing? nope

WTT? yes, though I still need to discuss a third with DH, probably in January.

Give us an update on each kid!!

Desmond started camp this week. He had fun, he went Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday he cried when I left, Thursday he just waved goodbye. He says he had fun, though he keeps saying, "I no go my camp preschool, I stay in my home." He enjoys himself once he is there though. Both days he told me when I picked him up, "I played playground, I pushed kids!" We don't know what he means by he pushed kids, since the teachers haven't mentioned it and they would have if he was. Our best guess is that he may have pushed the ride toys that some of the kids are on, but who knows he won't elaborate.

Eloise is doing well. She is finally sleeping in her bed without me having to be right there for a few hours in the evening, which is so nice. She had her 15 month appointment and is still a peanut. She dropped to under 5th percentile in weight at 18 pounds 4 ounces, and she stayed at the same percentile for both height 25th at 29 3/4th inches and 50th for head size. The doctor seemed a bit concerned, but it wasn't our normal doctor since she was sick. She was glad I am still nursing since it is the best source of calories for her. Neither DH or I is concerned, Desmond only gained about 3 ounces between 12 and 15 months as well. Eloise is a lot smaller then he is, but she has always been small. Plus the doctor is using the formula charts, so I should probably check the WHO charts to see where Eloise really falls. Other then that not much else going on. We found out at Sesame Place last weekend that the most adventurous she really wants to be as far as rides go is the bench on the carousel, which is fine, but odd when compared to mister I ride roller coaster 4 times in row then do drop ride and big water slide!

Other then that not much going on, we are headed to Atlanta this weekend to celebrate the 4th, we'll see how Eloise likes fireworks then since we'll be out on the boat to watch them, hopefully they don't freak her out.

Give us an update on you (and DH)!

DH had his birthday yesterday but we didn't really do anything for it. When we came back from Sesame Place on Sunday we found water dripping out of our ceiling, which was so much fun! 3 1/2 hours later on Tuesday the plumber left after fixed two leaks in the pipes, so we now have a lovely 5 1/2 by 6 foot hole in our dining room ceiling that we need to patch.

Nothing much else going on here, we are heading out to the airport in 5 minutes or so to go to Atlanta to visit my parents. Hope everyone has a great 4th!

Kids Names and Ages: Evan - 13 months

TTCing? Yes-it's my first cycle trying
WTT? Nope

Give us an update on each kid!! Evan is getting his canines in and handling it pretty well-he's just a little more volatile than usual and wants to nurse a lot more. We're down to 3-4 times per day, but it would be double that if I let him nurse every time he asked! It's crazy to think he's the same kid who lost 19 ounces in his 1st 3 days because he refused to nurse, and wouldn't bf until he was 4 weeks old! He's also getting closer to walking-he can do 50 steps in a row (I've counted!) but still prefers to crawl. We found a free baby class at a local gym that has a lot of walkers so maybe that will inspire him!

Give us an update on you (and DH)!
We're embarking on TTC #2-DH got really stressed out the last time so I'm keeping the charting, OPKs, etc to myself for now. It's our 3rd wedding anniversary next Tuesday and my sister is watching Evan so we can go out for a happy hour/dinner. Otherwise we're trying to make the best of our last summer here in Vegas while we wait for our paperwork to go through for our move to Canada. Las Vegas will always be the place where we met, got married, and had Evan, but we are so ready to be out of here (the 107 degree weather doesn't help either:)

Sniffle :( He got his first hair cut not that long ago and he looks like a big boy now!!

And I am going back to school in the Fall! So yeah ... Nothing is really new with Dh and he doesn't like when I talk to much about him on here. LoL .. Silly men! :)
Hope you and all your babes are doing well .. Going to read your updates now! xx

Thanks for setting up the new thread Adrienne!

Name/Screenname: Julie, (mom_mrsjam)

DH Name: Jon

Kids Names and Ages: Alex, almost 2 1/2, and Ethan, almost 3 months

Are you also:

PG? No way!

TTCing? No way!

WTT? No way! (we're 95% sure we are set with two kiddos.)

Give us an update on each kid!!

Alex is on night 2 of sleeping back in his toddler bed (after about 3 weeks of refusing to sleep there, he'd sleep on the floor in his room.) It took getting some Diego sheets on his bed, and Daddy sternly telling him to "STAY IN YOUR BED" at bedtime last night. So he did. :) Today as a reward I got him a Buzz Lightyear doll from Walmart, and boy did that make his day. He had just watched Toy Story recently and we started watching Toy Story 2 this evening... he was on cloud nine. He was blabbering nonstop and playing with Buzz so emphatically I wondered if he'd even go to bed. Well of course Buzz is in bed with him. :)

Ethan is my little sunshine. I know every baby is different, but I have found that with my boys, the 3-month mark is like magic. He used to be so fussy and cry about anything, and could be so unpredictable. The worst was about 3 weeks old through 6 weeks old, he'd cry inconsolably. But now, he is so different, in a good way. Unless he's hungry or tired (in either of those cases, he'll let you know in no uncertain terms what he wants) he is so smiley and cooing, and just loves to be sitting upright and watching the world around him. He is so fascinated by watching big brother just playing or talking to him.

Give us an update on you (and DH)!

I love summer break! I get to spend my whole day, every day with my kiddos. Although I can't wait until Grandma and Grandpa get back from vacation this week so they will take the boys and I can have a free day or two.
DH and I will celebrate our 9th anniversary here in a few days. He is the best!

Thanks for setting this up, Adrienne! :-)

Name/Screenname: Anna / arwhyn
DH Name: Matt
Kids Names and Ages: Teddy, 16 months

Are you also:
PG? -
TTCing? Yes!!!
WTT? -

Give us an update on each kid!! - Teddy is doing really well, apart from his eating (still). He's now running everywhere rather than walking (too dull, I guess!) and climbing onto absolutely everything. He's now confidently walking up and down stairs, and loves to play ball with his friends. He's seriously interested in babies, which I take to be a good thing! He's really gentle with them.
I don't know how much he's grown since his 15 mths appt, but I reckon his head must be huge. They don't really measure head circumference here apart from with newborns, so I don't know, but I had to buy Teddy a new sunhat recently and he needs size 3-5 years (which only just fits).

Give us an update on you (and DH)! - Well, we're officially TTC! I still can't really believe it. I find it a lot "harder" in a way than last time, due to the fact we can only BD in the evenings and a lot of the time I'm just so tired and really have to make an effort. DH seems to be really happy with our decision though and is on board with it, which is what I wanted! Last weekend when I was reading my favourite part of the Saturday paper (the birth announcements, LOL) he even asked me if there were any good names, and to read them all out to him :-)
DH also enjoys spending time with Teddy a lot more now. I guess it's because Teddy's getting more interactive by the day, and his little personality and sense of humour really show now.
We're still house hunting, which proves to be more problematic than anticipated - there just aren't many houses out there at the moment! But we're hoping that something will crop up soon. I reckon we could stay in our two-bed house at least until a second baby would be half a year old, so we've got time.

Kids Names and Ages: Barrett, 14 months

Are you also:
PG?
TTCing?
WTT? yep - although I'm really torn on how long I truly want to wait for

Give us an update on each kid!!
Barrett is working on walking - he took half a step yesterday, realized what he did, and leaned right back to where he started :)

Barrett loves using utensils to eat. He's not so good with the spoon, but he's pretty good with a fork. Apparently it's much more fun to eat with a fork than one's fingers (who knew that strawberries were supposed to be eaten with a fork?!)

Give us an update on you (and DH)!
I'm currently very torn as to whether I want to WTT or just NPP right now. I'm starting graduate school (very part time) in the fall, and I feel like I should wait to TTC but then a big part of me would really like to have my children about 2 years apart in age...

In other news I'm flying out to LA next weekend for a wedding (without DH or DS)! I'm very excited but also very nervous about leaving the family behind. It's a really short trip for the distance, but I'm so glad I'm able to make it to the wedding.
