Updates!!

I think we need an updates thread, because I miss hearing about how everyone's babies are doing.

So for us, James is 4 months now!! I can't believe how fast it's going, I was looking at him the other day and wondering where my little baby went, it's crazy how fast they change!

We went for his four month appoint last week, and I was really unhappy with the Dr. so I think we'll be trying to do some insurance adjustments and find another one soon. At this appointment James was 15lbs 14 oz, and 25 in long. Which I think makes him about normal. The new dr. didn't tell me what percentile it is like the old one did.

Has anyone else had a baby that dropped drastically on the percentile chart? Like I'm sure James is doing fine, and he still seems big and healthy and everything, but he's gone from the 93rd% percentile to like the 60th or something.

Anyway, everything is going well, we're still not sleepign through the night, but he does (typically) only wake up once in the middle of the night around 5am, so that has been nice!

James still doesn't roll over, but he's getting very close, and he can tripod sit for a minute or so before he leans too far one way or the other.

How are all the other WTT babies??

Hi everyone! Boy has life gotten hectic on me! I pop in and read all of the updates when I can but haven't found the time to post.

Kaeden should be crawling any day now. He regularly does pushups where he goes from a crawling position to lifting his knees off the floor. He just can't get his hands going yet. He officially

Sorry I've been MIA!

Daphne is 3 mos tomorrow and had her 2mos check up yesterday, stupid Army! She is 22.5in and 11#s which puts her at 16%tile. She is social smiling, chatting, loves laying on her back and looking around, loves showers, and is still BFing! Oh and she loooooooves her mobile!! She sleeps until 6am then wakes for a feeding and sleeps until 9ish.

I gained 50lbs and have lost 30, but am a little dicouraged, everyone says BFing makes the weight drop fast... my ginormous muffin top begs to differ. I am in my pre preg jeans, they just are super tight and not flattering, lol

Grace- Daphne went from 25% to 16%, they said it was fine, though that drop is less drastic. Are you adding rice cereal yet? My ped was saying around 4-6 mos they need the extra calories to grow, feel free to tell me if she's stupid, she is Korean, I'm not sure about their medical training...

Anna- lol @ Teddy smiling and getting away with things! so cute! And about the dream, well that's very odd b/c I am waiting for Daphne's eyes to turn green! DH and I both have green hazel eyes. And I'm sure someone else will say this by the time I make it to the end, but I will be adding solids while continuing to feed on demand, the way it was explained to me was they need both to grow. Glad Teddy's solid eating has improved!

Sarah- I can't believe how mobile Eloise is!!! Ooooo Disney for Halloween!

Megan- I can't believe Rylan is 1 already!!!!!! lol @ milestone hugging bastard! don't ppl realize everyone is different?! How awesome about the word recognition! Smart boy!!! I am so glad you had a nice dr this time!

Kelly- I feel that so long as you feed your baby you are a good mommy. That being said I understand the devastation of not producing enough and I am sorry you have to deal with this. I hope the prescription works well for you! So are one tough momma. Yay for rolling!

Kim- I love the halloween ideas, and the trip to Disney, how fun!

Adrienne- I didn't even think of that, totally true about older babies being more efficient eaters.

Brita- lol @ the UNC comment! and so cool Barrett likes the water, I want to do swimming with Daphne, she loves showers!

Lorien- Yay Patrick! Good luck with moving to the crib!

Jan- Glad Kaeden is well! lol he likes real food now huh? Good luck on the job hunt!

Kristy Lee- How cute that Kaylee is talking to you! Is she over her MAB phase? hehe

Joelle - technically all baby needs the first year of life for growing and nutrition is breastmilk or formula.

Sarah - have a great time at Disney! I'm hoping to get a group trip to Disneyland going for about 2015, when Elena will be 5 or 6. Heeey.... anyone here interested in doing something like that?

Jan - good luck with part-time job hunting, and yay for getting a race in! I hope Kaeden's ear infections get better soon. :(

Kristy Lee - yay for Kaylee sitting on your lap! Is she still supported in the back, or is she totally holding herself up?

Joelle - that totally sounds like Elena's sleeping schedule at 3 months. Then for a while she was doing really well at sleeping until 8 or 9, now she's up anywhere between 6:30 and even 10:00. I can't predict her anymore. Someone told me she probably needs rice cereal now, but I'm not too sure on that. All the literature/advice here now is that they don't need ANY solids (even rice cereal) until 6 months. Though lots of people still give it at 4 months because that was the old rule. That's great that Daphne is still BFing though - I was wondering about that. I'm so glad you were able to get it to work out!

AFM - the Dom had increased my supply to about 30-ish oz a day, which is not the 35-40 I used to produce, but it's better than the 25 I was doing before the meds. I'm only having to defrost a bag of frozen every 2-3 days now. All that being said, I had actually begun to make peace with the idea of FFing, and now my production is up again and I'm completely torn all over again. It sure would be nice to be free of that damned pump. It's very much a love/hate relationship, and lately hate has been taking over a lot more! I think that next week (at her 5-month b-day), I will drop the 2am pump and see what happens. It will be nice to get a solid night's sleep again, considering I haven't gotten one since my water broke. So not fair since Elena has been STTN pretty much since August!

Elena is doing much better at bearing weight on her legs, and yesterday we put her in the Jolly Jumper for the first time (actually I have a video that I will post in the video thread!) She's still not sitting, though she will stay fairly steady on our laps if we hold her arms. She also tries to pull herself forward from reclining positions now. LOL.

DH and I will be taking Elena on her first flight in January! We have booked a trip to my hometown in Labrador. This will be roughly the equivalent of flying from, like, New York to Alaska, so it's going to be a

After my Ped told me to start solids, then Kim told me that isn't usually needed, I looked it up, EVERYONE says breastmilk until 6 mos. My ped is stupid. Gotta love korea.

Kelly we will be taking a vacation when Daphne is 5 or 6, not sure where, but Disney is on the list!

Kelly I am dealing with the same thing in Jan, I'm sure Sarah has advice, bc of flying to India. I asked the April raindrops bc there babies are 6 mos and that is how old Daphne will be. here is that thread.

Thanks for that link Joelle! There was lots of helpful info there. I can't believe that one lady drugs her baby with Benedryl though! Sounds like he's an extreme case but still - yikes!

Elena is nearly 5 months old now and she never takes naps longer than half an hour at a time. Sometimes she'll have as many as 5 or 6 naps in a day, but other times it will only be 3. I guess it's because she sleeps so long at night now. But of course she'll be 7 months old then and probably a lot more interested in toys than she is now. It's going to be fun!

I am so stressed about that flight, then afterwards we will be staying with MIL who smokes in her house... omg I am so not happy!!! It's like ok you fat retard, if you want to kill yourself, whatever, but I don't want my baby exposed to your nastiness. (I apologize to the smoking moms, but an increased risk of SIDS and increased risk of developing asthma is not ok with me)

....hehe...sorry about the mini rant...
