Oh my goodness Erica!!!! What a birth story!!!! I got goosebumps all over!

I always think that with my next baby I'll try to stay at home as long as possible so when I get to the hospital I don't get epidurals or pitocin... but your birth story is better than all my fantasies!!

I'm so happy for you and your family! And congratulations on your little baby girl!!!!!!!!

Wow I bet it was a rush to have her at home rather then at the hospital right as you planned to go in. Glad you had a great birth.

Thank you for all of the congratulations! It wasn't the peaceful birth I imagined, but having my very own husband deliver my daughter was an amazing, beautiful thing. I definitely didn't choose this homebirth, but having her in the car during rush hour would have been a LOT worse.

We came home yesterday. We were able to leave after Charlotte had her newborn screening at 24 hours old (about 3pm). We had a great night last night, and I'm feeling much more rested now. I hardly slept at all in the hospital.

We took her to the pediatrician this morning, and she is doing well. We're so happy that Charlotte is here!
