I guess responding to Mari's post about labor got me thinking about my birth story, and what my expectations are for my next baby. It's interesting, because while I still hold some of the same principles I did before having James, I think my expectations have changed a lot.

So I guess my questions is, what will you do differently in your next labor and delivery?

What did you like/dislike about your first (earlier) experiences, and how do you want it to be different?

Did you have any ideas about labor/delivery that have changed?

I will have a doula. I love DH, I love that he hates seeing me in pain, but comforting him while I am in the middle of labour and in pain does not put me in my happy place! Other then that though I was thrilled with my labour and delivery with Eloise.

I'd prefer another VBAC to another c-section, just because the recovery is so much easier!

Not really, I wouldn't mind trying a Bradley class next time, but I will admit I do quite enjoy my epidurals while they are working!

Well, I'm pretty sure that I give... I will probably just schedule the c-section, and get the epidural right off the bat. Talk about different.

I liked my first, almost unmedicated labor and delivery, but not the episiotomy. I absolutely
