I can't believe how many WTTG babies we have now! :-) We'll definitely need a new WTTG Baby siggy soon.
There is quite the gap though between our "first generation" (that ends with Joelle's Daphne in July) and the "second generation" with birthdays
Anna, it's hard to believe Teddy is only a year old - he seems so advanced not only physically but emotionally too! Giving hugs to other kids already, that's incredible! I wouldn't think a 12-month-old would do that!
Although... I think Elena was trying to give me kisses last night! I had her on my lap and I just kept kissing her on the cheek over and over (like I tend to do a lot), and then she started turning and putting her
Aww Anna, SOOO cute about Teddy hugging his little friend (and running after his big friend)!
According to my Mom, I learned to run when I was ten months old but didn't learn to walk until I was three. LOL.
Kelly and Anna, your cute kid stories make me so excited for the next baby stage, and the next stage after that! It's always fun to read this thread and find out what Eliza will be doing soon - although now there are many babies younger than her! We do have a lot of WTTG babies, it would be fun to have our siggy updated... did Joelle make it? Or did we request it from the SS board?
Anna - how adorable that Teddy gave his friend a hug! It must be so touching to see him grow into a sweet little boy.
Kelly - you poor thing only getting 2.5 hours of sleep!!?? OMG I couldn't do it. Hope Elena is feeling better and is sleeping better now!
AFM - Eliza is growing like a little weed. I swear she is going to be like 7 feet tall at this rate! She is becoming quite long and thin, which is very unlike both her parents (!), but I know these things can change quickly in an infant. She is too tall for most of her 3-6 month sleepers, but the 6 month+ sleepers are SO baggy and wide for her, they look ridiculous! Although, we did just find a sleeper that we got as a gift that fits her perfectly, but unfortunately it is made by Hanna Andersson and cost like $28!!!!! I put it on her this morning and thought 'this is PERFECT! I'm going to go buy more!' - HA! OMG I almost died when I saw the price for ONE sleeper. It is completely adorable, though. Maybe I'll check eBay...
Eliza has gotten very vocal lately, she loves to coo and screech and make the cutest sounds. She thinks she is pretty funny, I think - of course, DH and I agree! :) I can't believe she is going to be four months old on Sunday. It blows my mind how fast time flies and how much they learn in such a short period of time. Infant development is just amazing.
Speaking of vocal... she just woke up from a nap... gotta run!
Ella- before I start rambling and forget- The Children's Place has really long skinny sleepers, I don't know if they're in your area or not, but I'm sure they're on the web. I always look at those sleepers and wonder what baby they would fit, they're so long and skinny :-)
Hi to everyone else! I read everyday and you're babies are beautiful!
James had his 9 month appointment today, but I'm honestly feeling a little defeated. He hasn't been gaining weight. He's gone from the 95th percentile all the way down to the 10th percentile.
I'm starting to think it's time to change something we're doing, and it's breaking my heart. I've done everything right to have a good nursing relationship with James, and I feel like it's slipping away. Ugh. IDK. He just refuses to nurse, he's too busy or something. And he's still supposed to be getting most of his nutrition/calories from BM or formula. The way I see it pretty much my only option is to pump. That means a pretty big life change for me as I really haven't ever pumped at all. I'm looking into getting a breastpump from WIC.
I know it probably seems like such a small deal because most people pump all the time already, but that just isn't what we do, and isn't what I planned to do, and it feels like failure right now... Hopefully things will look brighter soon.
Otherwise James is doing awesome, he's crawling and crusing, and interested in music and books, and I think he's learned a word. He consistently says "du" when you show him his duck!
Keep the updates coming ladies, I love hearing about how all the babies are doing!
Ella, It is amazing how fast they change and learn. Just in the 6 weeks since Simon was born its amazing how much he has changed!
Grace, I'm sorry James doesn't seem to be as interested in nursing as he once was. Atleast you did so well for this long. I'm
Ella - I think we definitely need a new siggy! We've had so many babies since it was made. Joelle made the old one - I'm not sure how often she comes by the board anymore but I could email her through FB and see if she'd be up for making another one. As for your sleeper issue, I had the same problem with Elena! She was always so skinny that every sleeper I put on her was so baggy. She's filled out a bit now
Oh Ella just wait until Eliza is really sick for the first time. You do what you have to do. It's 1:40 am right now and Elena has been awake since midnight. It's looking like I'm going to be up for another night. Sigh. The bonus here is that I'm sick myself now too. DH is no help because he has to work in the morning. It doesn't seem to matter that I've been working 7 days a week 12 hours a day for the last 9+ months with the hardest job I've ever done in my life. Sorry... ranting... tired and facing another sleepless night... :(
