Okay I am not sure how to put the tickers in the post, but since it is now April, I figured we should start a new thread.

Ash - so glad last night went better!! I'll second Lorien's rec of the Moby Wrap. I LOVE it! I still use it with Eliza. My other favorite for when she was a teeny tiny newborn was the Kangaroo Korner Pouch. It kept baby so nice an snuggly and right up against your chest (similar to the hug hold in the moby) - and it is a cinch to get baby in (as opposed to the moby - wrapping it takes some getting used to) - you just put it over your head and one shoulder and pop baby down into it. EASY! Here's the website: http://www.kangarookorner.com/c-8-adjustable-pouches.aspx

This thread has gotten so busy with all the new babies, it's great!!

***Hi to everyone***

Ash- I second the moby wrap, I loved mine when James was tiny.

Amy-Welcome to the thread!

Kim- Congrats on baby #2, I still can't believe how that was for you, and that you got pg again before you even had Af back!

Anna- I'm so sorry about Teddy's eating issues. I don't really have any advice, but hopefully you can figure out what's going on soon and find some things he'll want to eat. At least he's healthy and growing!

Cassie- What simon has sounds a lot the same as the cold that James had a couple weeks ago. He wasn't fussy and didn't have a fever or anything else, he just had a cough and stuffed up sinuses.

Christine- We used the swing a ton in those first few months, it really helped a lot with naps. I hope it helps you as well, it's so nice to have good nap times when you can get things done.

Kelly- So sorry about the diaper rash issues, and the fight with DH. Dylan and I had a pretty big fight recently where we both said a lot of things we didn't mean, but luckily it blew over and things are back to normal now.

Ella- I can't believe how fast Eliza is growing, she's so cute! I love the pictures on your blog.

Lorien- Did you guys make a decision about the house?

Sarah- Those videos are so cute, Eloise looks adorable walking around. How long did it take from her first steps until you would say she is officially a walker? does she still crawl some of the time, or is it mostly just walking? Does she stand up with out pulling up now? So cute!!

AFM- I can't remember if I updated since James started walking. So anyway, James is walking! he took his first steps a couple weeks ago, and now he's walking quite a bit! He still sits down sometimes and reverts to crawling (crawling is still a lot faster!), but last night he was walking back and forth across the living room for 20 minutes or so. It's so cute to watch him learning new things! He also learned to sign "milk" last week, which is super cute.

On a negative note, he still hasn't gained any weight since 6 months. I know he's developing fine and everything, but I would like him to grow at some point. He's eating foods really well, and still nursing 5-6 times a day, so I really don't know what the problem is. I've tried adding some sippy cups of formula in between nursing sessions, but he doesn't seem overly interested in them.

Just to clarify, we are not TTC yet, DH really doesn't want a Christmas baby, so we're holding off until at least next month. My ideal timing for our next baby would be March-June, so I'm thinking we'll probably just NPP for the next few months.

We're heading to DC at the end of the month to visit family and stuff, so I'm looking forward to that. It will be the first time we fly with James, so we'll see how it goes. Luckily we were able to get a carseat to use while we're there, and I got one of these travel beds: http://www.amazon.com/KidCo-PeaPod-Portable-Travel-Pump/dp/B000G7OMBK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1270660772&sr=8-3 James is trying it out for a nap right now, so I guess we'll see how that goes!

I haven't read all the other replies yet and only have a few minutes, but wanted to let you know that I discovered the other day that Payless sells really nice baby shoes! They had really sturdy-looking runners in size 3 and even size 2! I thought I would go buy a pair for Elena when she starts walking because you are right, nearly all shoe makers for those sizes just make those useless, flat, smooth soles.

Grace, Eloise took her first step somewhere in December I believe. She didn't do a lot of walking till February, but even then she mainly crawled. So almost 4 months, before I would officially call her a walker. She is more of a perfectionist though and likes to make sure she knows how to do something before she really does it.

She does crawl some still, but only about 10 to 15% of the time. She has actually been able to stand from sitting since around 10 months. Which is why I was shocked at how long it has taken her to really be a walker. She could stand from sitting, bend down, squat, get back up and dance, but wasn't really walking till now.

Desmond on the other hand took his first step at 9 months, and was a walker by 10 1/2 months. He is more into throwing himself into something and keeping on doing it till he has it perfected though.

Yay on James walking, it is so fun to watch them walk.

Sorry he isn't gaining weight, hopefully he'll start soon.

Good luck on the flight. I am flying with just Eloise at the beginning of May, and she'll be a lapchild, it will be weird not having a whole row when flying, I always fly with a second person with Desmond and Eloise, and since Desmond has had his own seat since he was 1, we get a row, which makes life nice.

Kelly thanks for the advice, I'll check that out next time I am by a Payless. I have found a few soled shoes for her but no sneakers, and I think sneakers would be useful.
