Wonderful birth story. It sounds like things are better with your dad (I hope I'm right!). How special that he could be at the birth. The last sentence of your story brought tears to my eyes.
Loved reading every word, Katie! You did an amazing job. Zaydren is one lucky little man to have you as his Mama. So glad BFing is going well! Congrats again!!
We are getting along better. Still have things to work out but so glad they were there. The look on my dad's face is priceless and he was so proud! He usually won't hold babies but held Z and didn't try to give him to someone else.
Thanks for taking the time to write out Zaydren's birth story! I enjoyed every single word and I'm so glad to hear that your family was able to put their drama aside and be there for you. Sounds like you had a tough labor (I had similar back pain with Selin) but you were a rock star!
So glad to hear Z is an easy baby so far and don't give up with the nipple shield - he will get the hang of BFing soon. :-)
Thanks all! I use the shield when we're tired or when he isn't getting the latch but try without as much as possible. It's just the two of us, but its ok. We mainly just chill lol. Not one word from him. He looks just like him. I text and called him but no response at all. :-(
Awww, so great Katie. Love that last sentence. It is all about the big picture at the end of the day isn't it?... finally having our healthy perfect children in our arms. I'm so glad that Zaydren is here finally, and healthy and safe.
Great job Katie!! I am with you on the pain, it hurt so much that I kept tensing, and that makes you so tired that you start wondering if you will be able to push... BUt you did amazingly!!
I'm happy tha tyour family was ther efor you, and sorry that the baby's father wasn't... But sometimes I wonder if a man who refused to be there through pregnacy and labor could be a good father at all. Maybe its better that he stays away. (I mean this in the best way possible)
Oh, just one tily bit of advice... DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP!!! You are still on your baby moon, but once it wears off you will start noticing the dirty bathroom, messy living room, etc.. and you won't have the energy to do anything about it!
