How is everyone doing here in the 2nd trimester? I think our group is pretty big now:) I am feeling great and am planning on continuing this till the end LOL.

The renovation guy was here today and it looks like they will all be done by Feb, which is great!

I'm still here! :) Not feeling great, but I think it's due more to illness than pregnancy. The baby is really starting to get wild in there now, every once in a while getting in a jab good enough to make me jump a bit! It seems very active. Of course I probably say that every time. LOL.

Suzie - I do the pillows too, and hate having to reposition them when I switch sides at night!

Questions for this week are all about the bump!
1. How are you feeling about your growing belly?

I love my growing belly! I'm obviously pregnant now, and love the smiles people give me - it makes me feel so warm and fuzzy :) Now I'm getting congratulations again because my clients are noticing.

2. Have people started touching your belly? How do you respond if they do?

A couple of coworkers and family have - I really don't care. It doesn't bother me. It may if it gets more frequent or if strangers try it so we'll see how that goes.

3. Are you currently an innie or an outie? Has your bellybutton changed in PGcy? If not, do you expect it to?

I'm still an innie for now, but my bellybutton is getting more and more shallow, so I'm expecting it to pop out.

Suzie - I have the same problem with sleeping. I am constantly changing positions. I notice that I am most comfortable on my back at an incline.

Questions for this week are all about the bump!
1. How are you feeling about your growing belly?

I agree with Natalie, I love the bump! I am always rubbing it and poking it especially now that I can actually feel TBone on the surface a lot of the time.

2. Have people started touching your belly? How do you respond if they do?

Since I am in college and all my classmates are girls that have no problem touching my belly and I actually don't mind it at all. Sometimes if Logan is moving I will let them try and feel it. I just think it is the coolest thing so I love sharing it with people!

3. Are you currently an innie or an outie? Has your bellybutton changed in PGcy? If not, do you expect it to?

I am definitely an outie now!

Suzie,

I also have a body pillow and I have to move it every time I rotate from side to side. Its highly annoying.

Dee,

I haven't heard the heartbeat either, so you're not alone. I cant wait but I probably wont hear it now until my U/S or hopefully the appt after.

Questions for this week are all about the bump!
1. How are you feeling about your growing belly?

I love it actually. Its not very obvious to others because I'm already heavy and I probably wont "show" for a few more weeks, but I completely respect my body so much more than before getting PG. Its a totally different mindset I have about it than before.

2. Have people started touching your belly? How do you respond if they do?

My MIL has tried but she doesnt really. A guy at work that first got the news has touched it a few times but only to tease me. I dont really care much about the touching, just the comments from MIL about "are you showing yet?" She was asking that at 8 weeks!! Hello...dont speed this up for me!! I'm loving every day!

3. Are you currently an innie or an outie? Has your bellybutton changed in PGcy? If not, do you expect it to?

An innie and its gotten wider and shallower. I'm not sure if it will go outie or not.

thanks for the tip suzie! that's actually the best price i've seen for the quinny buzz 4...we might have to spring for it. i have the same problem with sleeping and finding comfortable positions...my big problem is that i can only sleep on my side for so long before my hips start getting sore...either because i've got my legs bent, or if i have them straight, the hip on the bottom starts hurting bigtime. then i have to straighten my legs out and lay on an incline sort of between my back and side, or inclined between belly and side (with my belly sort of stuck in the corner space between the mattress and pillow). and i probably wake up and roll over every 45min or so.

1. How are you feeling about your growing belly?
mixed. i've been carrying some excess flub in the "muffin top" area for a few years now, after being effortlessly skinny for most of my life, so i've had a hard time watching my belly grow purposefully huge without misgivings. plus i feel like i'm showing WAY too much for a first-timer who's just barely halfway through.

2. Have people started touching your belly? How do you respond if they do?
nobody but family has touched my belly...even DH doesn't do it much. people point it out and talk about it though, and i try to change the subject usually. last night we went to a "pregnancy fair" at the hospital i will deliver at. we got a little lost looking for the maternity ward, and when we finally figured out where we we going, we got into the elevator and another couple ran in behind us just before the door closed...the man said to the woman: "see, follow her!" and pointed to my belly. i was pretty mortified. the woman elbowed and shushed him and said quietly, "if someone said that about me, i'd kick him!" girls know. lol.

3. Are you currently an innie or an outie? Has your bellybutton changed in PGcy? If not, do you expect it to?
i'm still an innie. it's getting shallower though. with the little bit of padding, i was a pretty deep innie, lol. DH thinks i'll be an outie before the end, but i don't think so.

Ruby: I'm glad you have your energy back!!

Cara: What a bummer that you are still sick! I hope you feel better soon!

Suzie: I'm sleeping wonderfully- I think a lot of it is due to the Hypnobabies. I listen to affirmations as I fall asleep, and I have stopped having nightmares (was having them really often due to the hormones) and waking up in the middle of the night. I sleep with two pillows (big square German ones) under my head, and one under my knees. I sleep on my back for the most part but also sometimes on my sides. The vista looks great- I think you made a good choice!

AFM: I made a list of 5 pediatricians- they all do housecalls (neccesary for within 10 days after birth), are close by, and got good reviews. I will start calling first in Feb or March though to actually end up with one.
